Sumo Sushi — Restaurant in Camarillo

Had the worst experience here last Wednesday. We were regulars here, but after last week, we will not be returning. Our server was extremely unprofessional and not attentive. Placed our order, 2 people's food did not arrive until an hour after everyone else despite asking 6 separate times for the food. Server also spilled beer on my sushi, and brought napkins to soak up my beer drenched fish. We were so fed up with the experience we said we wanted the remaining items for the two people who had not received their food to be packed to go- took 15 more minutes. When it came time for the bill, there was no consideration for the time or inconvenience. I gave the server back the bill and stated we should not be paying for the two items which took so long. She took it to her manager who stated, well if you don't want it, I wont charge you. Then after I asked for it to be removed again while keeping the food, she stated can I give you a discount because I cannot waive the $17.00 or I will get in trouble. Astonishing. Will never return. Our experience at this restaurant last night was very unpleasant and stressful last night due to the waitress we had This waitress, named Lauren had absolutely no people skills! She arrived at our table and curtly asked : What do you want to drink? No smile, no how are you ladies tonight, no nice introduction at all My mother asked her if they had raspberry iced tea and she replied they only had regular tea The major problem was the fact that she gave that answer with the same monotone, unfriendly tone and stoic face She absolutely set a very uncomfortable tone The martini I ordered tasted like old grape juice, not good at all The food was good, rather was ok On our way out after we waited a long time for our bill and finally had to ask another waitress for it, I informed the manager about our very unfriendly waitress and she replied with a bunch of Feedback how much all of her customers love the place’!! We had the worst service. I will not return.. I had to wait there and wait there and wait so finally I asked is someone going to come over to help us? Passed by my table multiple times and didn't even say hello and ask what can I get you to drink.. then the owner showed up but about 30 mins into all this maybe later and the two servers perked up. I have no idea their names but it's the same two women servers I have seen. I stopped coming because of the service but I thought let me give it a try- nope. We will never be back. I love the salad and my husband likes the Ramen but the service is just too spotty. We also heard the table next to us get something to eat that was inedible. Also they forgot my roll and all the other food came out meanwhile waiting for a easy shrimp tempura roll which was not very good. Sumo please read your reviews and do better. You will soon loose customers and in this day and age competition is very real. Plenty of good places which I will return but sadly...
