UPDATE: Feb 24, 2021- The general manager of this location has contacted me personally to apologize for what I understand was most recently a computer issue combined with some needed management training on the customer service end, as well as emphasized his desire and focus on continued quality control. We hope to return and update our experiences in the future.
I'm a bit exhausted by my local Wood Ranch location this year. We have had a ton of quality issues while ordering TOGO and I generally do not call and say anything, but, a few times I have and was compensated with a future replacement item as noted in the guest service book.
Well we ordered our usual 4 pack to go for Valentine's Day in advance to take to a local park and eat a romantic but covid safe meal.
Our trip tip was entirely uncut, I mean the slices didn't even clear halfway through the meat and I could lift the ENTIRE portion at once.
Our beans had more than 1 or 2 pieces of macaroni in them, I get utensils maybe cross contaminating but there was a generous amount of hard macaroni in our beans.
Our chicken was also not the Quality we typically get and very tough and overly charred.
In general it was not a meal conducive to eating out, as intended as we couldn't serve or eat the tri tip at all, cut the chicken with the provided utensils, and let's face it, not very sexy to be scooping chunks of yellow noodles out of your baked beans.
In any case, I called up at 2PM on Valentine's, still pretty bummed at my special romantic meal and the quality. I spoke to a customer service rep/server? Who put me on hold to speak to a manager.
I told the manager my frustrations and he apologized profusely repeating back my issues and saying he would coach his staff on better cutting and serving and offered me a $40 credit for next time ($40 was based on half a 4 pack)- I didn't ask for his name as we'd never had issues before....
Well today, exhausted on my way home from work and not wanting to cook I decide to pull in and order....I mention our credit and the server comes back out confused and to verify... then several minutes later a man who I can only assume was the manager on duty (portly looking cacausian male with a receeding hairline, I guess I fail at life because I didn't get his name either.....) comes to my car saying he has no record of my conversation on Valentines and without the name of the manager I spoke to won't honor my credit. Which, mistakes happen, but why he had no solution to try and contact a manager above him or use my details to figure it out, or serve me in some other solution, I don't know.
I'm just exhausted with pandemic Wood Ranch at this point. Such a shame the service and consistency is all over the place the past year. Usually our orders are flat missing things...
I last had a credit for brisket at the beginning of the year and I kid you not when we redeemed it we actually were given TRI TIP. And we never even bothered to follow up or complain on that.
I don't see us returning until life is back to normal, it's not worth the constant accuracy and quality issues in togo...
Read moreThis company has the best guten free/allergen policy and menu I have ever seen in a chain restaurant. The very first time my husband and I came here it was right at the peak of evening dinning hours. We were seated within 5 minutes of asking for a table. The amount of seating at the camario location is decieving from the outside, there are so many tables, and there was plenty of space between tables for servers and customers. Very good floor layout. Next was the menu: Keep in mind I have a lot of allergies, gluten, dairy, red dye... etc. The server we had was above and beyond with her attention to details. We ordered our drinks and when they came out began to place our order, when she heard about my dye allergy she immediately asked that I hold off on drinking my pomegranate lemonade so she could make sure it didnt have any gluten or dye. (Good news: it didnt) She double checked on the soups that day which most servers would have just assumed based off the visible ingredients that they had no allergens (they did due to a flavoring sauce they used on the broth). She proceeded to alert me that the mashed sweet potatoes contained a dairy (cream cheese). This company has the most well advised servers I have ever encountered. Top notch training on alergens. I have had far too many close calls at other restaurants and too many nights sick and even some instances of multiple days suffering from an allergen that wasnt expected to be there by ill advised servers. I had not even one single concern about what I was eating at WoodRanch and it was a great quality of food and a filling...
Read more22 Bucks for a Tri-Tip sandwich my dog wouldn't eat! I've had better gas station sandwiches than this dried up heap of garbage. I can only assume the cook was angry with the owner and chose to take it out on me. First, the portions were microscopic with the exception of the dried out zero flavor roll. What tri-tip was found, was dry, chewy and completely tasteless. There wasn't enough cheese to determine its flavor. The only thing that had any moisture and a slight flavor was the peppers that was also scarce. I said a few prayers and tossed some salt over my shoulder in hopes the au'jus dip would salvage whatever this thing was, but to no avail. Not even the au'jus had any flavor, was cold and virtually tasteless. Not even going to mention my side of mashed potatoes, it was the first culinary train wreck to get slam dunked into the waste can. With the rating this place has, I can only assume they did the tip (free scoop of ice cream) for a comment to ensure nothing but + feedback. Otherwise, the expectations and taste buds of those that entered, are best reserved for the roach coach on wheels. Well, my wife picked up this delightful heap of regurgitated dog stuffing so, I wasn't there to those play those tunes and it's a good thing I wasn't. I wish I knew you could post a picture, I would have hauled out my micro lens for my Nikon and taken a few shots, but too late, I found a taker with the birds...
