I had the food and i just dint like it . Its the first day of my stay in boston i had lunch here as i staying upstairs in the air bnb house owned by Rod. Im editing my review because im being threatened that i will be reported. I had the chicken and rice and the lamb chops. The spice was not upto my expectattion , it was full of horribal sauces, undercooked lamb chops , this does not taste like Mediterranean food. Just sauces cheese and rice, it absolutely had no flavour .Normally i write reviews only when i dont like the food. I know that i have eaten here and i paid cash for the food as i was staying upstairs. Well the first day i have eaten lunch and what im told is im doing illegal of writing a review because of the owner writing a negative review about staying at his air bnb house. Im just expressing myself and my views as a honest citizen when i dislike something. I wrote a very long review and after the owner threatned me that he will report me i had to change it. This is the third time im editing this review. This owner rod is a highly egoistic person and he doesnt like to change his attitude or improve the food. All the reviews which are postive which is...
Read moreTried Pita out for the first time tonight, my husband and I both got wraps - him the kofta, and me the shawafel (chicken shawarma and falafel together). So, I'll start by saying that his meal was tasty - slightly different flavoring for the kofta than I'm used to, but tasty. My wrap ... well, it wasn't bad, but I would not order it again. My biggest complaint is that, to me, that was not chicken shawarma. I'm used to being heavily marinated, roasting on a spit, and being shaved off as it's cooked. This was not that. This was, no word of a lie, shredded chicken breast with a minimum of seasoning. Maybe this is still considered chicken shawarma somewhere, and it's just a regional difference that I'm not familiar with, but was not at all what I was expecting, nor was it particularly tasty. That complaint aside, like I said, the kofta was good, the place was bright and clean, service was good and they were friendly. Going to give it another try, but never getting the chicken shawarma again (the...
Read moreI was so, so excited to see a fast-casual middle Eastern shop open up, but unfortunately mainly found disappointment in Cambridge pita. The menu looks nice when you walk in, and food is served up pretty quickly, but that's basically as far as it goes for the compliments. The pita bread is thin and tough (and cold), the hummus is watery, the food is missing a lot of spices (especially the kefta), the green salad they serve with plates is bland, the chicken shawarma plate "served with rice" is, well, not served with rice, the shawarma itself is stale, dry, and bland (recipe: take chicken, overcook it, slice it up, cook it again, forget spices, serve as shawarma), and honestly the list goes on and on. Maybe their burgers are better? But it's called Cambridge pita... And the owners have that upscale restaurant with some good reviews, so I had my hopes up. There remains an opportunity in Cambridge for a quality casual middle...
