I can't speak highly enough of my great experience with Leo Carroll. The quality and customer service were top notch, the prices were great, and it was nice to see such a well-run and longstanding family business! Couldn't recommend this place more!
When my wife and I came to look at (men's) wedding bands, the owner and his wife were exceptionally polite, patient, and helpful in narrowing down our choices with pros/cons of each selection.
Shortly after buying my ring, I realized that it was a bit loose (despite getting sized at the store). The owner gladly swapped out a smaller ring for me at no additional cost, and a replacement was shipped right away. He even offered to let me keep the bigger ring in the meantime if I wanted.
Unfortunately, it turned out the replacement ring was still too big! And I didn't realize this until AFTER our wedding and honeymoon (once I actually started wearing the ring more, and the weather started getting cooler). I was embarrassed to come back a second time for a smaller size, and was certain they would charge me (it had been several months since the last exchange). Instead, the owner gladly exchanged the ring again at no cost, and couldn't have been more pleasant.
I truly enjoyed every interaction with the owner and his wife, and love the ring I bought (even though it took a couple tries). Thank...
Read moreMy praise is long overdue. If anything goes wrong with my jewelry, I go out of my way to see them because they are such kind, hard working, welcoming people. I bought a multi-strand pearl necklace from Target, but it kept breaking so I returned and exchanged it until there were no more. I knew it was only a matter of time before the last one broke, and I loved the way that it looked. Leo Carroll Jewelers warned me that it could be expensive to restring it, but did so, retained the original design and the price did not break the bank. After that point, any jewelry issues, big or small, means a trip to their store. They are not just expert at fixing jewelry. I wish that I could copy the way that they are graceful human beings-they clearly remember me even if they do not recall my name, which is a hard balance to strike, but they do. I'm always making flubs, and they should do a TED talk on being personable. It is a lost art. It is a rare combination to have a business be good at their job, kind and affordable. The only issue is that you'll have to take stairs to get to them. I have no idea if there is another way to get to their store, but it could be challenging if you have...
Read moreI wanted to get a gold necklace repaired (just soldering a tiiiiiiiiiiiny opening that got ripped back together, like so tiny that you can’t even see unless you squint) and I was quoted $20 by the woman. I thought it was high at first but I had already made the trip there. Later when I picked it up, the man charged me $15. I didn’t say anything, that means that there was no set price on it and they charge you however much they felt they could. And that means that the women thought she could charge me $20 (and she was right) so she did. I’m a young looking girl and I’ve gotten ripped off A LOT because of how I look. (And I called the store before hand so they know I was aiming to go there and wasn’t going to say no and go somewhere else) I placed my trust because of the good review, and they took advantage of that. If she overcharged me by a whooping 25% when she feel like she can for something this small, I think she will over charge me for my engagement ring. So, NO, I will not be buying my...
