Scooter's Coffee — Restaurant in Cambridge

Edit: after some thought, I have decided to change my review score. Scooters is by far the best coffee shop in town and deserves a higher score.

Let me first emphasize: THE EMPLOYEES ARE AMAZING. Always super nice and friendly. Coffee is solid and food is also solid.

That being said, this would have normally been a 5 star review. I order a large brewed coffee with a little half and half and it was 1 dollar. I would go 3 to 4 times a week. Great deal.

Last week, they decided to TRIPLE the price of the large brewed coffee. Now it is $1 for small, $2 for medium, $3 for large. Absolutely crazy to jack up prices so high suddenly. Now it's no different from Starbucks or Caribou a couple blocks away.

With this insane price jump I'll be switching back to gas station coffee. I understand prices need to go up sometimes but this was too much too fast. Make a large 2 dollars, medium 1.50, small 1 or something.

If I hear they reduce their prices a bit, I will definitely go back. For now, this is just another expensive coffee place in a sea of expensive...

Everytime I go to this location and get a XL redbull infusion without ice they hardly fill it. I would say roughly half way. Other locations will go to the line on the cup, right above the decals, with room for ice but this location does not even come close to the line. I have also gotten my usual drink order and for some reason sometimes it's even a different color. I'd strongly suggest a different scooters location. For 9 dollars a drink I should be getting the full amount. And no, I don't want it topped off with lemonade to fill it up, I just want my drink to actually be to the level it should be at without ice and unfortunately this location does not do that.

Update: As of 11/5/2025 i wanted to see if they improved and they have not. Got their largest size without ice and they barely filled it a little over half full. Definitely the last time I am...

I got the opportunity to come here on family and friends day, and it was amazing. The staff was extremely friendly, and were full of knowledge in regards to their products. The drinks were absolutely amazing, and we will now make scooters our preferred coffee/smoothie choice. I had a mango smoothie, and it was absolutely amazing. There were a few other people with me who all had variations of the turtle mocha such as iced, blended and hot. Everyone loved their coffees and they were all gone very fast due to how smooth the coffee was. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves coffee as well...
