Update:
We went to the drive-thru a couple of days ago after a long hiatus. Our experience was much better here than in the past. A pleasant, heavy-set, older guy helped us at the window, and our order was made quickly, turned out well, and everything we ordered was in the bag. Our burritos were good, not skimpy, like in the past. We visited again yesterday and had an excellent experience with the same nice guy at the window, and the food was good, not messy or skimpy. Yay! The Mexican Pizza is on the menu again! Veggie or Ground Beef.
Old review:
Drive-thru is NOT dependable. It appears that they make a concerted effort to mess with your orders. A few days ago, around 8 pm, we ordered a basic tostada and received it with a weird pink creamy sauce. It doesn't come this way (awful, I had to throw it away). They substituted chicken taquitos (awful) for the supreme taco we ordered. And, all four cheesy rollups were cold, cheese not melted AT ALL. We have had problems here before, but this was the worst. Also, they seem understaffed; the drive-thru line is always SLOW. At this point, we have decided only to order inside and to carefully check our order before leaving, always.
We did this a couple of days ago, and the outcome was much better. A pleasant, reliable young woman prepared our order; she was surprisingly invested in making our order turn out well. Kudos to her!!! While the young men who worked there, attending to the drive-thru orders, obviously could care less about what they were doing. The guy who took our charge at the counter tried to rudely blow us off and force us to order at the kiosk; he did this to the guy ahead of us, too. Also, a lovely couple ahead of us received their order in a cardboard box. As they walked away, the bottom opened up, and all their food fell on the floor; obviously, the staff had not secured the base. The counter guy was rude to them when they politely asked that their order be redone. After about 10 minutes, they asked about their order, and the counter guy had not bothered to resubmit it. The same nice young woman, who fastidiously prepped our order, also kindly took ownership of their plight and made things good for them, too. By the way, the couple who had the faulty box were such friendly people; they even cleaned the floor where their defective box...
Read moreThis was a very unique experience at Taco Bell, I was ripped off by the employee whom took my order. The night that I stopped by, I happened to come a little too late for the dining room, so I had to go through the drive-thru. I ordered one of their combo boxes, I believe it came with a 5 l burrito a chalupa a double-decker taco and chips and nacho cheese, I asked for the mango iced tea but they were out, instead I chose strawberry lemonade which I was charged more for. When they asked me if I would like any hot sauce with my order I said yes I would like 20 fire sauces please. I absolutely love Taco Bell fire sauce and usually try to use one sauce packet with every other bite. This is the way that I have been enjoying Taco Bell for the past 25 years of my life. Well imagine my surprise when the year informed me that this location only permits to sauce packets per item ordered. And thus I would only be permitted 8 fire sauces. At first I laughed, thinking he was just messing with me. But he was not joking, I told him do what you have to do but I would like 20 fire sauce please, I think he charged me a dollar or two more. I asked him if he was just putting the money in his pocket, for the charge he just made up. He said yes, but I later realized that was just a language barrier mistake. I made a video of the interaction and will be posting it on tiktok soon. I went back 2 days later today and asked to speak with the GM, whom was not present so I left my number, then I asked the manager on duty what she thought of what had happened, and she told me that indeed the policy at this location as far as she knew was two hot sauce packets per item. Despite the policy of the Taco Bell corporation clearly stating no limit on complimentary hot sauce packets with your purchase. I look forward to hearing and explanation from the GM I know it may seem trivial. But I recall learning about the slippery slope in economics, stand up for the small, lest they become much more than small details. Sneaking in extra charges at Taco Bell not cool. I did enjoy the...
Read moreAccording to Taco Bell's own Google listing, they are open until midnight every night. Last weekend, Saturday night, my daughter was hungry so we stopped at the Camden Taco Bell. We got on line at 11:14 p.m.. It was a considerable line so by the time we were approaching where we could order, it was about 11:22 p.m..
All of a sudden the lights turned off. Taco Bell went dark outside. The car in front of us pulled up, had no response from the employees inside to order, then drove away. We pulled up, nobody took our order. We stopped at the pay window, nobody there. We pulled forward to the food window, nobody there. We then left and as we drove back past Taco Bell we noticed there were a couple people inside that appeared to be cooking.
My daughter tried calling them and no answer. They are already a very sub par Taco Bell but it's close to my daughter's house and she was hungry and didn't want to drive all over.
Meanwhile, the Jack in the Box across the street was doing a brisk business and even though there was a line, it appeared to be moving quickly.
I think it's very bad business to close suddenly and for no reason. There were still several cars behind us but 40 minutes before closing time is no excuse and somebody should have come out and stated a reason why they arbitrarily decided to close while they had at least 10...
