Bob Evans — Restaurant in Canton Township

Had a "reservation" for Sunday around 1130am. There was about 8 of us. We were confirmed the day before, but still had to wait about 15 mins when we arrived. We had no problem with that. The issue was, that it seemed like they were understaffed...which doesn't make any sense since it's a Sunday morning (has to be their busiest day /time). When we finally got our table, there was about 15-20 people waiting for one. We noticed the area we were sitting on had plenty of empty and clean tables,which leads me to the "understaffed" assumption. Had to wait for 10 mins before we got a waitress. Had to first ask...then wait another 10 mins, for our drinks to come out. After that, service picked up nicely. The issue after that was the quality of food. I don't normally eat at chain restaurants anymore (mainly for food quality reason). I don't think it was the way it was cooked...more like the actual quality of ingredients. Just had that cheap and frozen taste to it. I've had better experiences and tastier food at local coney islands for a lower price. This experience just cements my "no chain...

Ok, so I ordered my food through Door Dash. I ordered an omelette with tomatoes, spinach and mushrooms, with a side of diced hash browns. The omelette was not what most restaurants would consider edible. It was a fried flat piece of egg that surrounded the ingredients I listed above. Very dry, very flavorless. The potatoes tasted like they were cooked in 5 day old grease with no flavoring aside from the grease, which left a horrible after taste. Inside was mostly greasy spinach with like 3 pieces of sliced mushroom and several pieces of finely diced tomato. I literally re-cooked my food once I tried it, to try to salvage it..didn't help much. That being said the biscuits we're pretty good and the fruit bowl was AMAZING. I usually don’t make reviews but we had a not too good experience so I thought I would share. We had a server named Sharon. We ordered the biscuit sliders and when we asked for the gravy that comes with it for dipping she said it doesn’t come with it but it was on the menu. I pulled the menu up on my phone just to make sure. Only one of us got a refill whole time and when she came back to give us our check about 5-10 mins after our food was delivered it was the last we seen her. We were probably in and out within 25 mins it all just felt very rushed. It wasn’t even that busy. Food wasn’t very good even though I’ve liked it the times we have gone to the other bob evans. It was very clean inside though. I just wish we had a better experience. Definitely won’t be coming back to...
