I grew up in this area, and we frequented this Wendy’s often in my youth. After decades away, I recently moved back to the area. My first trip back to this Wendy’s was about two months ago. I ordered my go-to: two spicy chicken sandwiches with no tomato. The employees were sufficiently polite, and overall, the process was efficient. I went through the drive-thru and drove about 10 minutes home before eating. They correctly omitted the tomato but the standard mayonnaise was all wrong. It was like somebody hit the middle of the sandwich with the smallest dollop of mayo then tried to wipe it off - leaving some residue. These bad boys were as dry as the Saharah. I had to get cold mayo out of the fridge to make this dry-fest palatable, which just wasn’t the same.
I figured this was a one-off issue, and I went back a few days later. I explicitly requested extra mayo, and I head home with my spicy chickens in tow. Somehow, there was less mayo than before. I was flabbergasted. I love Wendy’s but swore this location off.
However, I have recently been on an exploration of all the chicken nuggets offered by the big names in drive-thru quick eats. As such, a week or so ago, I decided to try this Wendy’s again. I ordered spicy nuggets with honey mustard sauce. Again, the staff was polite and efficient. The young woman that handed me my food was actually quite lovely and pleasant. I parked at the mall across the street before running errands, and I was eating my nuggets within minutes of being handed them. To call them lukewarm would be generous. They were tough too, and the honey mustard tasted like the hot mustard you might find at a Chinese restaurant, which was off-putting.
I try not to be negative, I generally like Wendy’s, and the staff were generally polite; hence my three-star rating, but I did have three successive...
Read morewent through the Wendy’s (store #3251) located at 1399 W Chestnut St. Washington, Pa. 15301 at 3:14pm est today 09/08/2023. I ordered 2 overloaded nacho burger meals large, a biggie bag with a double stack, 3 large cold brew crème chocolate. My order total was $40.98… My WHOLE COMPLETE ORDER WAS WRONG.
ABSOLUTELY NO CRÈME in the 3 cold brews
Instead of BURGERS for the sandwiches, we recieved CHICKEN
The biggie bag was missing the double stack burger.
I called and spoke to a manager named Christie who to say the least was VERY RUDE! She basically called me a liar by saying “I find it hard to believe that your whole order was wrong, my people I have working here are very good at what they do!” Then said she would only replace the 3 cold brews. She also said she finds it hard to believe that the cold brews had no crème since they are made with it. This is totally unacceptable. I go to this location at least 3 times a week. I will NEVER go there again! When I advised Christie I was going to call customer care, well I believe I said corporate, she said ok and hung up. I have attached a picture of the cold brew and my receipt. The cold brew was straight coffee with chocolate sauce. I am VERY HIGHLY UPSET after being treated this way. Then like I said l, she was basically saying I was lying. I was charged for the chicken sandwiches and the nacho burger sandwich meal is like $1 cheaper.. FIRST TIME I EVER HAD A...
Read moreOn 8/26/22 I had the most scrumptious grilled chicken sandwich with avocado/guacamole added on top. The cook was generous with the guacamole and I really enjoyed it. I’m going to be ordering that sandwich more often!! Fast service. 5 stars
We are usually very happy with Wendy’s takeout service. At about 1:30 today, 8/27/22, my husband was there just to pick up 2 large drinks, and he asked for a drink carrier. He pointed at the drink carrier on her counter. The woman at the drive thru window told him that it’s impolite to point. Maybe she’s having a bad day, I always want to consider that. If so she should think about asking her manager to replace her at the window so that she doesn’t interact with customers. That said, the half cut iced tea was, as usual, perfect. 4 stars
10/25/22. Stopped for breakfast after a morning appointment. I ordered French toast and potatoes combo, hubby ordered bacon/egg/cheese biscuit. What a disappointment! The French toast stix tasted/felt like they were a day old - hard to chew, not fluffy, not very warm either. And no taste besides the syrup! And way too dark. The potatoes - tasteless - we both agreed. There may have been some salt, hard to tell. The fries at Wendy’s far exceed these potatoes. Hubby’s sandwich was also not at all good. We both threw our meals away after 2 bites. That was all it took. $20 bucks gone. Will not go back for breakfast, even MickyD’s is better -...
