I have read the reviews saying there is a great selection and must strongly disagree! The choices are limited and consist of the standard fare you would see at any Chinese buffet. The food itself is mediocre, and much of it becomes scalding hot sitting on the steam tables. The flavor is comparable to what I might expect from pre-made Chinese entrees from the frozen section in a Wal-Mart.
The interior is small, and even though there was no crowd when I arrived, I was given a booth (one of several) patched together with duct tape. This was a surprise since there eere other table options available that were given to people entering right behind me.
The price is a bit much for this experience. At $10.11 for lunch and a soda for one person, I dont feel its a value. I recognize Canton doesn't have much in the way of Chinese buffet options, but that is no excuse to rate a cut rate restaurant as good or better.
For those who embellished on their reviews, shame on you. Either tell the truth or, if you truly believe what you said in your positive review, maybe you just need to experience a truly good buffet in another city.
For me, I won't be returning here. I would rather pay more for a Dairy Palace burger. Sure they are expensive, but at least I know they will give me a good burger...
Read moreYears ago I went there a lot. Food was hot and great tastingi . Took friends there recently don't know what happened, but food off steam table was cold and bland. When we talked to manager about the cold food and how we wasn't paying for cold food . They get upset at us as if it was our fault. We had to pay for all but 1 meal. They said that was all they would take off the bill. I've been in restaurant business for years. My opinion for this place is to shut it down or find someone that knows something about running a restaurant. Can't serve cold food like that. I made it a point to go out several times a day making sure tables and food was hot. I also talked with customers about their options and thoughts of the quality of the food, service, and cleanliness of the place. The success of any business especially restaurant types is due mainly on what your customers think of your business. My thoughts are that the customer is 9 out of 10 right in restaurants. Value...
Read moreFirst and last time for us, my daughter's chicken wings had hair in them we told the waiter, who grinned and said "yeah" cleaned a few more tables before goin to tell the lady up front. She came assured us it wasn't human hair but chicken hair and all her chicken comes this way. I've cooked alot of chicken in my life, none of which was hairy but whatever. We waited for a bill to find we were charged full price for my 5 yr old who I told the waiter would only be eating jello when we were seated (super picky). Also charged full price for my 9 yr olds hairy chicken. They did not seem to care at all that we were dissatisfied or even attempt to make it better. Other than that the food was bland and barely warm. I'll drive the extra 15 minutes next time I want Chinese and have China Cafe...
