Dunkin' Donuts on Marietta in Canton, GA: Crappy service.
Yesterday I wanted some signature lattes while at home, I was craving them and so I went to doordash to order them. Because it was after 9:00 p.m. my order was directed to the Cumming highway's Dunkin Donuts. I ordered through doordash but doordash did not have any of the current menu items listed in their app so I had to "piecemeal "-order my lattes and then call the Cumming highway store to let them know that the drinks that I ordered, I wanted as the signature drinks. The Cumming highway store was wonderful! They not only had already taken action on my note that I left in the doordash app about the signature drinks and made the drinks as signature drinks, but they also tried to contact me to let me know that they didn't have oat milk and to ask if I'd rather almond milk. They were very gracious and I got exactly what I wanted. The next day I was again craving some lattes, signature ones, and I went on doordash again and I proceeded to do the same process, as I thought it would work the same way it did yesterday. Doordash still did not have any of the current menu items that Dunkin' Donuts has and I had to again "piecemeal" my latte orders. I followed the same process I did the day before because it worked just fine and I called the Marietta store that doordash directed my order to. I called and I called and I called and I called and they never picked up the phone. The phone rang until it disconnected each time. I then messaged the dasher. The Dasher related my message to the Marietta store waiter and Marietta told them they could not make my drinks signature because I had to order it that way through the app and it would be an upcharge. I tried explaining through the Dasher chat that doordash does not have any of the signature or current menu items from Dunkin' donuts and that I had no choice but to order it the way that I did. Dunkin' Donuts had already packaged up and sent off my order the way I did not want it and sent the Dasher off . So now I was stuck with three drinks I did not want. I was very upset. Now I have to battle with doordash to get a refund for these drinks that I did not want because doordash did not have the current menu in their app . Yesterday Cumming highway's store bent over backwards to give me good customer service. And today Marietta gave me stinking crappy service. I hate the Marietta store. Firstly, I had heard that they are giving out free donuts on Wednesday so I asked the drive-thru employee if this was true and her exact words were, “Yes you get a free donut with every coffee you purchase”. So I ordered a coffee for myself, an Iced Vanilla Signature Latte and another of the Cookie Cold Brew Coffee and asked if we could have free glazed donuts to go along with it and she said of course.
Secondly, I get to the window and she says it’s around $13 and I thought that was strange considering we only should have paid for the coffees so I get my receipt and of course, she charged for the donuts. I later learned that it’s a reward program thing and I needed to use the app or something which she absolutely did not mention a single time. She just charged me even though she said they’d be free.
Thirdly, my coffee was just an original, not a signature which I clearly asked for. That itself wasn’t a big deal but then I tasted the coffee and there was absolutely no sugar in it and it tasted like old milk, like a terrible aftertaste.
Fourthly, our donuts looked and tasted terrible, they must’ve been super old because they were quite literally the worst donuts I’ve ever had, not exaggerating. Picture for reference
I will reiterate I never take the time to leave a bad review but this isn’t the first time I had a bad experience from this location specifically and I LOVE Dunkin’ usually. Read moreMe and my boyfriend come through the drive thru at 1:40 today at this location. He wanted an iced pistachio coffee. Every other time he’s gotten this coffee, they’ve made it with liquid sugar and he never had to ask otherwise. We even looked it up, this coffee is SUPPOSED to be made with liquid sugar. This time they decided to put regular sugar in an iced coffee that won’t melt, so it was bitter and he was taking sips of granules of sugar. So we went back around and asked them to remake it, and the Hispanic lady in the window not only told me we ordered it wrong but told me I needed to make sure to order my drink correctly so they don’t make it wrong. I told her every other place makes it with liquid sugar and she wanted to argue with me that I was wrong. I said “Can you please just remake the coffee? I don’t need a lecture, thank you.” And she said in a very fake tone “yeah of course! Make sure you tell us liquid sugar next time! Thanks!” Very bossy and still had to have the last word even when I told her I was calling corporate. Over a simple drink, she had to argue with a random customer!
