Fromage du Monde — Restaurant in Canton

This tasty gem hides down fourth Street in Canton, Ohio. It is a storefront, so watch closely as you walk towards it because it doesn't stand out and is still kinda hard to spot as you come up the street. The good news is the parking right next to the business on the street. This is important to me because after tasting the delicious offerings, I knew I would be stopping by on my way home. I would like them to stay open a little later a few days a week to accommodate working in downtown Canton until 5pm. Recently at lunchtime, I shared a cheese flight with my friend, and relied on the owners to pick the offerings. They did not disappoint. We had a cheddar, and a cheese made from several kinds of milk ( including bison!) And one other that I not remember. The flight came with house made chutney that was out of this world good, a spicy mustard and crostini. For $12 it was delicious and a good representation of the cheese offered in their case. Not a typical place and not what you would expect to find in an alley in Canton....

I'm sharing the review I wrote on FB :) What a cute little place! Whether you're grabbing lunch with their specially crafted sandwiches or soup, or having a tasting tray of their gourmet cheeses, you've gotta try! You can add charcuterie or even a small dessert to share. My husband and I are telling all of our local friends to try this place out for a great-priced little date! We all know everyone is different but this is my opinion only. I made a reservation for 8 and our table was ready when we arrived. Each of us had a different item and all 8 of us loved the homemade pumpkin soup. Sandwiches were delicious also. The staff here is so friendly and the owner stopped by our table to make sure everything was ok. If you are in the Canton area downtown, stop in for lunch you won't be disappointed. It looks like they have wonderful desserts too....
