I really hate to leave a negative review, because I try to stay positive in a world of negative ,but today 5/26/2024 I had a terrible experience at the I Hop in Canton Georgia I walked in the store at around 630 pm on a Sunday evening to only see one other customer sitting at a table eating well me and my family of four waited ten minutes just to be seated and then we had about ten more minutes to order drinks we finally got our drinks I had a sweet tea my wife had strawberry lemonade and my two toddlers had lemonade well it was drank before he came around for us to order our food we asked the server for our refills so then I remembered I left my kids tablets in the car so I walk to the car I one employee looked to be a cook laying on the ground between the entrance to the kitchen and the lobby crumbs all down the employees apron I kept walking to the car I see another employee laying on the booth by the door and our server talking to said employee I walk back in to only see said employees till laying down and my family’s drinks still empty well i tried to look over that because I was young once myself so he brings our food to the table and we had asked for all of us to have a refill again he only brings my sweet tea and dose not bring my wife or kids a refill to have drinks with there food the omelets did not taste right something was off just could not put my finger on it my wife had a grilled chicken sandwich she liked hers but my toddlers got chicken and waffles the chicken was so hard it was almost a choking hazard for toddlers now not even an hour leaving the store my wife is sick I paid almost 15 dollars for drinks only to have two cups of sweet tea and one cup strawberry lemonade and two lemonades 46 for two adults to eat ps I really like the kids eat free but it would be nice if no one was sick after eating and was served better and if employees did not just lay all...
Read moreI recently placed a curbside order for food that never came. I first must admit it was a busy Sunday morning and the restaurant was quite packed. However, I placed my order and waited in the desired spot and called. At first no one answered. Then my second call the person who answered didn't mention anything about not following through with our order but just that it might be delayed. Well over an hour later is more than just a slight delay. Meanwhile, while waiting I chatted with the car next to me which was there first and they were still waiting. Then I noticed more cars waiting and no staff members delivering food. I did however, see several door dash drivers go in and out with bags of food but no one was delivering food to the curbside people. I tried calling at this point to cancel my order and the phone message was "we're not accepting calls at this time". Nice.
I understand that this may have been a very busy time or even the possibility of being short staffed, but it's not an excuse for poor service or at least letting your patrons know what is going on. The car next to me was a lady and her two children, so that's a bit more risky for a parent to shuffle her crew inside a packed restaurant during a pandemic. I feel like this could have better handled. My food never came, I had to open a dispute with my bank because I was charged in advance online and no one at this restaurant accepted any phone calls. I'm disappointed that I missed out on great pancakes and quite frankly will not be back anytime soon due to my...
Read moreOnce again, I was reminded as to why I never come here. Previous visits have always included a little extra flavor in the food. Whether it be a mismatched item from another order or a bit of hair in my mother's omelet, and when they remade it, it still had hair in it. The manager at the time (this was a few years ago) wanted us to still pay for it, and after they made it the third time, my mother decided it was no longer appetizing, and who could blame her? After some arguing with the manager, her omelet was comped, just the omelet.
So, I decided to avoid this place to the best of my ability. However, today, my partner decided she wanted Ihop, so we placed a curbside order as we both are sick with Covid ATM. We placed an order on the app at 11:22, we called when we arrived at 11:50, and they said they were working on it, and they were very busy. But they said the food would be right out ASAP. We waited in the car until 12:30, and we finally had enough. And had to go inside, WHILE WE HAVE COVID. there were probably 30/40 people waiting for tables, but our bag of food was sitting on the counter with a tag saying "11:39."
Honestly, I don't see a reason to go here. You've got a waffle house next door, another ihop on exit 7, waffle houses everywhere. If you really are desperate for cold and bland food, then this is the...
