Waffle House — Restaurant in Canton

Most uncomfortable experience ever. Came in at night and had our lyft driver join us and the server was so rude to him and me (lyft driver was black and I am a Hispanic female) and mostly tended to my boyfriend (he’s white) she always checked on his drink and his food and then remembered to check on me sometimes but never checked on our lyft driver who was sitting with us at the bar. We DID not like the way the two female servers treated their cook. He was also black...I work in the food industry and I would NEVER speak to the cooks the way they were speaking to him. And he was so nice and you could tell he was trying to work his shift and get home. IVE NEVER IN MY LIFE FELT SO UNCOMFORTABLE. All I could see was constant eye rolls and super bad attitude. It put me in such a terrible mood. I’m not saying these to female waitresses are racist (I don’t know them personally) BUT I did sense a high level of disrespect and a pattern in the way the treated all the other patrons there vs how they treated the few people of color who were there. My wife went to meet a friend for breakfast here, and left crying because they kept asking her 6 times in the span of 5 or so minutes where her friend was. (she was on the way). While on the phone with her, because she was so uncomfortable, they were looking at her and pointing before they finally came over again and she left after being there no more than 10 minutes.

I called to ask about it, they refused to give me the man's name who harassed her, then tried to play it off as "we wanted to fill her booth with people who are ordering right now".

The most unfriendly service, and outright rude. Don't plan on waiting or meeting anyone here. I do not recommend this location until...

This used to be my favorite location but it's really starting to go downhill. We ate their for breakfast today. First impression, it was a little busy but we would wait. Once sat at the table, we started noticing how "unkept" the place was. The window ledges beside the booths were filthy. The floor behind the bar looked like it hadn't been swept in days. Still, I thought maybe they had a rush and thats why Waitress took our food and drink order as soon as we sat down. She forgot our drinks until she brought out our food.
