Note: The last picture of the steak sanwish posted is from Azucar and actually represent what anyone with knowdledge of what a cuban steak sanwish (pan con bistek) would expect to get. This picture is for you guys to compare with the previous pictures here from the El chocolate... we end up wasting over $60 including tips and ending up buying a 2nd order from El Azucar on Del Prado Blvd. Comment: the place looks dirty and you can see a lack of maintenance everywhere you look, we bought two steaks sanwiches (pan con bistek) a "cuban style burger" (frita Cubana) an a mid night sanwish (media noche) all of them looks like if they have been recicled from returned orders or they have been in the fridge for months, we order to carry on and did not realize how bad they were until later on... we couldn't eat anything, we ended up going somewhere else and put the whole order into our garbage can. we did drink "chocolate shakes" on site it was not ice cream and have a lot of sugar and ice, maybe they put a tablespoon of icecream for flavor but pretty sure it was mostly powder mixture and maybe some milk... who knows, the previous visit we aet cuban pizza and was not very good either quality has gone down hill from our first time, this was our last time going to this place prices are close to what you would expect from rustic pelicans but qulity is worse than walm.art chicken.... if they target to give you a real cuban gastronomic experience they should have targeted a different cuban gastronomic period because they are closer to especial period cuban gastronomic style than to the real deal... very disepointed still gave 20% tip to weitress because they are no the ones to blame for this bad experience. the bill was a litle over 50 buks Pan con bistek (cuban steak sanwish) over $10 Frita cubana (cuban stike burger) over $8 media noche (mid night sanwish) actually this one should not come with pork that would be better for a cuban sanwish but they did sadly put that old smelling and tasting pork also over $8 I really cant understand how a place soo poorly managed like this one can actually stay afloat, I have seen many better quality places gone bankrupt in the blink of an eye... I've read here other comments about design and they have some insidefull observations but I kind of liked the style regardless, wish they could take more care of cleanliness and food quality and that will be a game changer, I just doubt they will do anything just from reading the "owners" reaponses to other coments here... perhaps they do not care about us or need us to stay afloat... maybe they have they own loyal repeating customer who have different opinions as you can also see here and is just a few of us who are too demanding... wish you the best...

Great little Cuban bakery in downtown Cape Coral. Their vibe is welcoming, lots of places to sit inside and out. Food was great, we had pizza, shakes and pastries. Come to find out they are under new ownership, and are making lots of positive changes. They said they are trying to be open for breakfast sometime soon. #SUPPORTLOCAL

My husband ordered a Cuban sandwich and I got pasta with shrimp.

My husband said the sandwich was tasty. But I can say the same about my meal. My meal was cold, the tomato sauce seems to be the cheapest one, and the shrimps was not well cleaned. I could see the shrimp gut still ( that dark line that can be seen along the shrimp’s body). The moment I saw it I stop eating.

It cost me $15 for that meal which is super expensive for the quality for the food they are serving.

Usually I don’t leave reviews but this one super annoyed me specially because I am pregnant and I need to eat well clean and cooked food.

On the checkout the cashier that was also the waiter said “ here is for you to leave your tip”. I was like in my head I don’t even feel pay the bill.

Then later on my husband I and felt sick. My husband was feeling like throwing up. The fact I am pregnant I can say for sure it was because the food I was feeling sick.

I left the place and would...

I recently visit Cape Coral for a couple of days of sun and relaxation and looking for some good Authentic Cuban food, I came across this gem. I have to say I was super impressed with how delicious everything my husband I ordered. Now in this days everywhere you go they say Cuban sandwich but not at all. Pan con lechon or flan only a real Cuban knows how to make it. I had the croqueta preparada and hubby had a ham Cuban pizza. This is totally my go to place when I am in town. For does of you that live near this restaurant you all have a place to have a delicious breakfast quick lunch or a nice dinner. And please try the flan. You will make it your favorite ask for a Cortadito with it. You will...
