Disappointed both New Year's Eve and about two weeks ago when we went for my birthday dinner. (Ordered filet that night and it came out overcooked and dry but edible) Options for sirloin steak are now just six or twelve oz. Got the six. Had it been edible it would have been about four bites worth. Smallest piece of meat I've ever seen at a restaurant that advertises as a steak house. Ordered it medium. It came out burnt and charred and past well done. Asked for a replacement. It came out marginally better, just as small, still over done, and not until everyone one else at the table was finished. Had the server pack it to go without even tasting it. My husband did get the ribs and they were delicious. He was very pleased and he is usually the picky one. I worked my way through college waiting tables so I tend to be more patient than he is about things. The Manager came by while the server was packing my second piece of charcoal - I mean steak - to take home. He asked how everything was. We quietly told him. He was very sorry and shrugged as he explained: "well, it's COVID. Can't find any good help. We're just taking anyone off the street we can find." No offer to make it right or to offer a discount. As a customer who is patient, willing to see if it can be made right, and a good tipper I am getting pretty tired of the Covid excuse. At this point, that's all it is. And before people holler, no, we didn't punish the server. She was awesome, cheerful, and very apologetic. She did everything we asked of her and received the 30 percent tip we give for good service since COVID issues. She wasn't at fault. We'll just have to wait it out at Logan's until they can find a steak chef that knows how to cook properly. It seems to cycle with Logan's. We've been eating there since the Cape Girardeau location was built. Sometimes you get a steak that makes you weep it's so perfectly cooked and other times it's like last night. The meat cuts are great. The cooks are not always so much. For now we are done with them. Attaching a photo of our bill and the meal I received. The second steak was not great either so since it arrived after my husband was finished eating I brought it home and our dog was extremely grateful for it. Just not how I'd planned to have my sirloin dinner. BTW everything else was delicious, but we...
Read moreOn 1/4/24 I was very excited to go out and experience a good steak, as I was craving it all week. I was dining alone and chose to sit at the bar. There were two couples in the bar area, and the Bartender seemed to be in the weeds, and took a while to notice/greet me. He appeared to new at bartending or not very well versed on the bar set up which looked bleek and unorganized/ messy. I ordered the Porterhouse Med, with a salad and baked potato, rbs add on, and onion rings as an appetizer. After getting my beverage, I prompted the Bartender to gather rolls and butter and requested my salad. 7+ minutes pass, and I mentioned it, and was told he needed to make it. I assume he had entered my dinner order at that time, and realized there were no Baked potatoes available. This was at 6:45 p.m. I was perplexed at how this was possible so early in Dinner service. Substituted for onion strings. Again after 20+ minutes my steak arrived after I requested he check to see if it was in the window. It was, however the rings nor ribs were with it. Steak was cooked appropriately but had been dying in the window. Eventually received ribs sub par, and onion rings. Rings were hot however came as 4-5 oversized cuts WITH OUTER SKIN/RIND ENTACT AND DEEP FRIED INTO 2 LARGE CONECTED CLUMPS OF MALARKEY. I was beyond disappointed, as I had been really looking forward to this treat for myself. I rarely if ever spend $55+ dollars on myself at a restaurant, and could not justify or truly appreciate doing so at this or any LOGANS having endured the experience I had. 🤔 Please do better. I recall much better in times gone past. Please advise.
They definitely corrected my issues on a return visit Off days may happen, and thank you for your help and efforts in attending to...
Read moreFirst, this review does not reflect on our server. From what I could tell, he was the only server in the restaurant. I should have trusted my gut when the parking lot was empty for popular business, but I chose convenience. Not only did we wait at least 45 mins for our food (remind you the parking lot was empty so maybe 5 tables occupied) and we waited this long! I can be patient with waiting times as long as the food is hot and worth the wait. We get our food and my whole plate is cold, the veggies, rice and grilled shrimp so cool it was most likely a food born illness waiting for me. I tried one of the "grilled shrimp" and OMG it was DISGUSTING! The shrimp was tiny little walmart frozen shrimp that tasted like the outside of a burnt hotdog that may have got some charcoal dust on them! Absolutely the nastiest I've ever tasted! The rice, I don't even know wth was wrong with the rice! It didn't even look like rice! It looked like they took some box rice and over cooked it and poured hot dog water over it for "flavor!" None of this is exaggerated, this was literally what the "food" tasted like! I'm never that person who complains or sends a plate back, but today there was no way I was paying for something that I'm positive a raccoon wouldn't eat! The server politely took the plate back and took the amount off our total and apologized! This is not his fault! Whoever managers this establishment needs to be replaced immediately and so does the cook! No experienced cook would have sent that food to a customer thinking it was eatable! Yall really need to close the place! Do...
