Don't get confused: The low reviews are from previous restaurant at the same spot. The restaurant opened on end of September 2025, but it will show reviews and low ratings from many months ago from previous Chinese restaurant. Interior is nice. Has a nice mural by a local artist giving coastal vibes. Service was attentive and friendly. Food was good. The Tom Kha soup was particularly on the perfect spot -not overpowered by anything, but a good balanced blend. In noodle item, the frying was good and spice level maintained properly. (This places has spicy and Thai spicy, so more steps. In rice item, we liked the new occasionally 'singed' rices. Highly recommend to give this new place a try. One suggestion to cook: the beef has to be in either: 'highly heated on the surface quickly' to keep the moisture in, or 'cooked to a point where the fibers get loosened'. Between these two points, there is a stage where cooked beef just gets harder. Let's avoid that middle stage.

Service is great! Super friendly staff and accomadating. Stopped by for lunch, was not too busy. Food was good, mid. Restaraunt has a nice cozy vibe. We tried the sweet & sour pork plate. Had plenty of food to take home for later.

Authentic Thai flavors, well prepared. I got L4 stir fry cashew with chicken. I mentioned it was a little salty and they insisted on remaking it. Absolutely delicious.

More expensive than other restaurants for probably the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life.

Eggrolls are crispy on the very outside only. There was a weird soggy wet layer of the wrapper inside. The veggies were all soggy and flavorless and seriously overcooked.

Cream cheese and crab ragoons were also bad. Way too many chives. There was crab flavor but no actual crab meat. Edges were burnt.

I was excited to try this place because they’re one of the few where the orange chicken has no spice and orange chicken is my kids’ favorite. The orange chicken is supposed to be fried, and it was at some point. There’s breading at least. But again, it’s all soggy, almost like they boiled it after frying it. I don’t understand why everything is so wet. Pieces literally fell apart like mush when I was serving it. Would possibly be good after jaw surgery or dental work when you need food you don’t have to chew.

Chow mein had no flavor but the noodles were edible at least, so my kids did eat some of those. The veggies were bad though.

The garlic chicken and veggies was also bad. No flavor and, once again, overly cooked. Everything was just soggy and wet.

Everyone agreed that at least it was sustenance for our bodies, but never again.

We ate what could and threw out the rest. I’m sad it was so expensive, when significantly better places are cheaper. 3 mains, 1 order of eggrolls (3 mini size, not normal size) and 6 ragoons for 70 bucks.

Ugh.

Also, they send you texts with order details, but to see them their link takes you to an app to download. But not through the App Store, but a sketchy random download...

Myself and a friend decided to have an early dinner on 12-26-21 at the Mayflower. I used to live here in Capitola and was a regular at the restaurant! I was back for a visit and couldn't wait to revisit the Mayflower, one of my favorite restaurants in the area.

We were sat & asked what we would like to drink? A lady by the name of May was our server.. My friend ordered tea & water and I ordered water & requested a pitcher of water to which our server replied no.

I clearly stated that I drink an excessive amount of water to which she said no to again, and walked away. Upon her returning with the tea and water I again asked for a pitcher and she again said no. I asked why, she said it was because of Covid and walked away again.

I had ordered potstickers which we were both enjoying. I had put chili oil on mine & ended up drinking both mine & my friends water. My mouth was on fire & I requested more water, May, our server answered with attitude that it's gonna be a few minutes.

I noticed that a table of 4 had a pitcher of water and again asked, this time to another person in the restaurant taking orders and she also said no to my request, I pointed out the other table that had a pitcher & she said we've only got 2 people and can't have it! I asked for my check & paid for the potstickers.

This was horrible service and just egregious behavior! Good service truly helps the food taste better, but what happens when they can't even get the water situation right!? It was but a simple request met with disdain and attitude!! Shame on you May & Company!!!!!! You have permanently lost...
