Taqueria Tepeque — Restaurant in Capitola

I go there infrequently and the lady is always incredibly angry and unpleasant (probably why). I always conduct myself in a respectful, polite fashion, to anyone who reciprocates: homeless, drug addict, whatever. Today I went in, two ladies were in the back working but in plain view. I stood there for at least five minutes with no one even acknowledging me, and I noticed a bell on the counter. So I gently gave it one soft ring and the unpleasant lady swung around quickly with a bitter angry stare. She then mumbled something to herself and turned right back around putting her back to me. That's it, nothing else. Like I'm going to order from someone who looks like she'll spit in my food. I'm NEVER going back - you shouldn't go either. That lady is just plain nasty (she's always there). Follow up: I work right by here - every single Spanish-speaking person I've spoken with has gotten smiles and great service, and every single non-Spanish speaking person gets nasty looks and no service. Food was good, average, nothing too special, BUT the older woman who helped me was SO RUDE. Maybe she was having a bad day? Im pretty sure she was the owner or part owner so i feel she should have represented her restaurant a little better. I asked for extra chile and she yelled at me saying there was already ONE in the bag, one small cup of chile for a supper burrito and bag of chips? So i told her i didnt mind paying for a extra one being i wanted to eat comfortably and she yelled at me again! Saying 35cents!! She seemed bothered that i wanted chile. come on lady. . I was not offered water with a spicy dip for my small small amount of broken chips and it was only 12 in the afternoon. The food is delicious but I feel as if the female server was not attentive with me as an Asian as she was to those that spoke to her in Spanish.
