The main reason I'm writing this review is because of how impressed I was with the employees here. It's unfortunate that the food doesn't hold up to the quality of the employees.
I'm sure we're all familiar with the average restaurant experience of the host greeting you then darting away to seat you as you try to keep up. The host that seated us today didn't do that. They walked at a slower, reasonable pace where even my father (who has mobility issues) was able to keep up. They even gave us an unexpected, pleasant "have a good day" as we passed them on our way to leave as they were seating another group.
Our waitress was very kind and attentive. They were pretty busy with tables when we were first seated, but did a fantastic job at communicating that to us. There was even some teamwork with getting our menus & drinks as other staff swiftly brought those over. The effort and teamwork is appreciated and nice to see.
Do these actions seem small? To some, I suppose. But it's these small actions that can lead to big impressions. Management should feel very lucky to have such welcoming, hard working employees. If there was a separate rating system for customer service experience, they'd get a 5 out of 5 for sure.
As stated in my opening, the food doesn't hold up to the same standards. It's very overpriced for it being lower quality. Very average and unimpressive. The steak that my father got resembled a chunk off of a roast or London broil more than it did a steak. Honesty diner food trumps this place. You could probably just make it better and fresher at...
Read moreWhere to start! Waitress, Chris, was breathing down our necks to order. I said I needed a min. She just stood there. So I ordered salad w/ chkn tenders. But I didnt want honey/must. dressing. Asked for French, "No french", ok, Thousand Island, " "No thous. Isl." What resteraunt doesnt have one or the other? I dont like blue cheese or ranch. So I said, well let me have a min, I need to pick something else then. She stood there looking at me, I felt pressured, so I had to take salad w/ italian. I dont like it. I like creamy dressings. Husband ordered a steak dinner. Mshd pots, & broccoli. She sat dwn 2 bread plates w/ silverware. Food came, he asked for a roll or bread w/ his steak, ( which is a USUAL addition to dinners) she said, "oh we dont do that here. If you want bread you can buy a breadstick for a $1 !!" What?? No bread, I actually got a breadstick w/ my salad and didnt ask for it!?? So I paid for it not knowing my salad was jacked a buck for bread I didnt ask for, but no bread w/a steak dinner?????? Whats the bread plates for??? They were never used. I dont get it. I ate my salad after I made a pile of the wilted bad looking lettuce off to the side. Lettuce, tomatoes, & some shrd cheese. Its a meal salad, no cucs, peppers, onion, croutons? The only thing good was chkn tenders on top. Get French or Thous.Island please. Next, windows, you can clean them anyday. Looking out its all milky, needs cleaned. This is second time we came and were dissappointed. Dont think...
Read moreThe service was horrible. The waitress, Yvonne, got our order and left the menu with me so I could look over my drink selection, and didn't come back for until the entree was coming out. We also had to ask for our appetizer after they brought the entrees, which was mozzarella sticks. They then said they'd comp the appetizer. Due to my bypass surgery I can't eat very much so we asked for take home containers. We were then told we couldn't take the mozzarella sticks or they would charge us. But we couldn't eat them due to coming after our meals. Then we were told that we couldn't take my Shark Bowl cocktail because it was alcohol. So that was $10 wasted because unable to drink. But she never even considered bringing me a to go cup for my raspberry tea. 2 other waiters who were very nice brought our food. The food was great except the broccoli was under cooked. The price was great. The service sucked!! Order for pickup if you go here. We will never again. I really appreciate my boyfriend taking us out for a nice meal which we never get to do because we both work so much. It's a shame that we seemed invisible here. I ordered the 6oz steak w/mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. My love had the 1/2Rack and fries. It was funny he asked to substitute a side salad instead of fries and they said it would be another $2 charge. Really for a couple pieces of lettuce, tomatoes, and croutons! They...
