UPDATE: 11/20/21: Decided to give this place another try after our horrible experience last time. Well…..that was a HUGE mistake. Tried to order with a free sub coupon and they were yelling saying I already needed to redeem the coupon on my phone - which I already did. I gave my phone number for rewards slowly but got physically yelled at by the manager for going too fast. Waited 15 minutes for our food when we were the only people waiting. It came out ice cold when it was supposed to be warmed. The one sub we ordered was supposed to be Jamaican jerk turkey and came out as regular turkey. As we were eating the line to order got extremely long. The manager yelled and told the customers that it was going to be at least 15-20 minutes before she could take their order because she was doing a catering order all by herself. There was 4 workers there. These poor people in front of us weren’t able to order their food for 25-30 minutes later. We will FOR SURE not be back again this time.

I usually love firehouse but….this past time was god awful. We ordered our food at 2:19pm. By the time we received our food it was 2:40 pm. I normally don’t care much about waiting a bit for food but we had groceries in the car. The place was not busy at all only one other person waiting for food. It was about 100 degrees in the store, I guess the AC was broken because it was way cooler outside even though the temperature was 82 that day. They didn’t even get our order correct but I wasn’t waiting 20 more minutes for them to correct it. It seems the employees must’ve been all over the place because they were all just yelling at each other for messing up a bunch of orders. Probably will stick to other locations and not be back...

Firehouse subs Carlisle PA: Using Firehouse subs website and selecting Uber eats as the delivery method, I ordered a veggie sub with added banana peppers and black olives (Along with a second ham sub ). Uber delivered my order and upon getting ready to eat it, it did not have the banana peppers or black olives. I called the store and spoke to the manager James. He told me that because it was ordered through uber eats I had to take the issue up with them (Please note again, I did not order it through Uber eats, I ordered it through firehouse's website and selected Uber as the delivery method). I then called Uber who said the restaurant is responsible for the orders placed Uber is only responsible for the delivery. I would tend to agree with Uber as they have nothing to do with placing the order or making the sandwich so Firehouse messed it up. James the manager did offer to make another sub and send it out but I humbly declined. What I didn't like is that the store tried to put an ordering and making issue on Uber as their responsibility, nor were they able to issue any kind of refund because (as the manager put it) it was ordered through Uber (What I refer to as the classic ping pong effect). Two subs with an Uber delivery was $48. You'd think for that amount they get the Order Right ! No receipt was provided either (usually a store receipt is in or stapled onto the bag). So if you're going to order from Firehouse subs I'd strongly suggest just using their delivery or call the store after you place an Uber delivery to make sure they got your order correct. Disappointed that firehouse blamed a order/making error on the delivery guy. I don't think I'll be ordering from Firehouse...

I have visited this restaurant several times and usually have great service and the food is delicious but the last couple of times it has been subpar except for tonight which is why I am writing this review because they were very unprofessional tonight! I don’t usually do this because it goes against my beliefs and read my other reviews. Yes I am very upset! I had a Uber eats order that kept getting delayed. I am at work myself and waiting for it to arrive. So because it’s taking so long I try to call the restaurant. All I wanted was to find out if they were open because things happen with unexpected closures. Well no one would answer the phone. I tried 3 times with no answer. Starting thinking they are closed. Then I saw my driver start to head to me with my order. That made me scratch my head. So I tried 1 more time! They finally answered. They said that they were open and that they didn’t answer my calls because I was prank caller! No I am not a prank caller! I was just trying to find out about my order! That is completely unacceptable and unprofessional to not answer the phone! I work in customer service myself and I always answer the damn phone! That’s why I wrote this review! I am very angry at the unprofessionalism showed to me...

Honestly disappointed. As a firefighter at two different stations, I suggested this place to my fiancé who’s never been to one. I used to go to one in Lynchburg, VA and it was great. Today, I cannot say this was a stellar experience. The girl we ordered from was nice, but confusing with the menu. I ordered a small sub combo that gets you Mac and cheese. She asked if I wanted a combo on top of that? I figured just adding a drink, but then wasn’t sure if I got a cookie or not? Pretty sure it costs more how she ran it up than just getting my original combo. We ended up paying for a cup of water? When our order was up, we started walking out and my fiancé checked our order and our max and cheese was missing. The girl got it than and apologized, which was fine. We got to our truck and started on our way. I opened my sub, took a bite, only to notice there is no meat at all in it. I paid 5 dollars for bread, Mayo, tomato and lettuce. Hugely disappointed by the negligence at this location. Hoping it’s not your normal. My fiancés steak sub tasted like it was spoiled steak. He’s now feeling I’ll after eating it. 2 stars because the staff was kind, but this was the most disappointing experience I have had with you guys.

This place was a nice change from Subway, Jersey Mikes or Jimmy Johns. My partner got the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar brisket, which he said was delicious. I got the small Italian sub on wheat with an interesting creamy mustard dressing. (I learned that Italian subs taste much better on Italian bread.) Each sandwich comes in a wrapped dill pickle spear, which prevents any cross contamination. What I liked best about Firehouse Subs was their mission and the atmosphere of the shop. There is a definite nod to first responders, and that theme can be found throughout the shop. The kazillion flavored Coke machine was a delightful bonus. While sub shops seem to be a dime a dozen these days, the friendly service and the atmosphere puts this one a bit ahead of the pack. I hope they put one closer to my neighborhood.
