It twas a late winter's eve, and I canvassed the surrounding area for a quick dinning experience. It was Sunday so I couldn't visit the nearby Chic Fila. Their management team values thier employees and allows them a day of rest. I quickly spotted a Panera bread, but when I noticed the Chipotle my car immediatly swerved and was diverted directly to this Mexican grill. I parked smoothly and approached the establishment. Upon entering the door I noticed a large line of patrons. As I eagerly awaited to place my order, I couldn't help but notice the raw unfinished wood posted around this hipster beacon that millennials love so dearly. If younger people are concerned so much about the environment, why do they flock to this place that displays dead trees as if they were mounted prize bucks shot during last deer season? I tried to avoid these surfaces in fear I may get a nasty splinter. The line was at a slow pace. This franchise must be sorely understaffed or just horribly managed. Only four members of the staff were visible. Two members prepped food while one all star tried to keep up with constructing the customers orders. The last member of the staff worked on the register. Food particles were splattered all over the place, while this young woman tried her hardest to keep up with the demands of the onslaught of customers who kept herding in behind me. Luckily I wasn't alone in this mess. My girlfriend assured me that everything was going to be okay, which created ease in such a chaotic environment. That was of course before the fatal information about the outage of sour cream. Had I not wasted the last 35 minutes of my life watching this woman put her heart and soul into building burritos, I would have walked out appalled. I slowly walked back from the ledge and somewhat regained my composure. I was able to settle down enough to agree to pay the overpriced bill. I dispensed my beverage and filled my to go bag with napkins. A patron passed me and alerted me that they are out of forks. This was by far the worst Chipotle experience I've ever had. The owner and manager need to be fined and fired. The poor girl working the order line should be promoted manager or receive a bonus for her efforts. She was trying her best while management was comfortable at home with their families. Shame on you Chipotle! I will never enter this...
Read moreThis was my second trip here and won't be coming back to the Carlisle location. Walked in to order but evidently you must order online or options are very limited. I planned on ordering three chicken tacos, chicken quesadilla, and a burrito. The girl seemed irritated the moment I told her I didn't place an order online. When I told her I wanted the chicken tacos, she snatched 3 soft wraps before I could tell her I wanted hard shells. I asked for a quesadilla and was told they only do those online, even though I was the only person in the entire restaurant. After some back and forth with another associate she agreed to make it after letting me know next time they won't do unless its online. They didn't have fajita veggies for line or online orders for quesadillas. Should point out there were at least four other people "working" that could have helped with the order didn't nothing but stand around. After twenty minutes I still didn't place my order for the burrito so I just asked for whatever I could get that wouldn't take another 20 minutes and settled for a soggy salad. As I'm checking out, someone who I'm assuming was another manager came in and low key berated two other employees from the dining area about what time they came in for their shift. Kind of seemed like a conversation that should have been held in the back, away for customers. Only bright side of the ordeal was that I didn't spend my own money on the order (gift cards). I would have placed my order online but wanting to use the gift cards, adding them online would have taken at least four hours for them to be accessible. Disappointing on the service side, the food, other than the quesadilla, was cold, and the online ordering has way too many inconveniences. The first time I ordered for this location was about a year ago and I ordered online. My wife went to pick up the food at the time the order was to be ready and she had to wait another twenty minutes despite no other customers being in there. Should have trusted my judgment and ordered...
Read moreIn the beginning when they first opened, everything was not an issue. I have to say, about a year or two ago, this chipotle location has been going down hill. I have stopped visiting this location as frequent and have been going to the one on Carlisle Pike, when possible. I have to say, this visit was quite irritating as literally everything was “out” - asked for chicken, there was none, had to get steak (paid for the steak price). No vegetables, no queso. My bowl consisted of majority rice and was basically half cooked; not even a decent spoonful of steak; couldn’t get any fajita vegetables and queso as they were out, mild salsa, and lastly only a few pieces of lettuce (enough that a person can take the time to count how many pieces). I understand business got to make profit, but I don’t think it’s fair to charge customers normal price when every the options are SUPER limited. There should be some type of incentive/discount. I don’t think it’s fair being forced to pay the price of a steak bowl (~$12) and get a bowl of hard rice and maybe 10 pieces of steak! Like every other reviews, staff is always short, food is always out. Some staff members would take first responders discount and some times they say “we never offer that discount.” Very inconsistent. Would like to understand how this place is...
