In town for work. Boy howdy did I hit the jackpot picking Danny’s!!! Did the 3 meat dinner. Ribs, sliced brisket, spicy sausage, okra and fries. Let me tell ya… getting out of the car and immediately smelling the smoker, I knew I was in the right spot. Then going inside and the same air freshener was in the air. I knew I was in for a treat and it didn’t disappoint. The ribs had a nice seasoned bark and light coating of sauce on 1 side. They were exceptionally smoked!!! The brisket was equally smoked. Just a tad fatty and on the cold side. The “spicy” sausage was super yummy. We normally call them hot links in Oklahoma, but these were super yummy. Wish I could find hot links like these back home. The okra was good. I was surprised it was frozen from the truck. It had a nice breading and cooked perfect. The fries were my least fave of this meal. I’m just not a fan of steak fries, to each their own. Even the bread/rolls were nicely buttered and grilled to perfection. They had 2 sauces. A sweet and a Carolina (I think). They were both good. I stuck with the sweet, it resembled Head Country BBQ sauce. Service was also top notch. Overall I’m adding this to my list to have again. Can’t wait for the next time I’m in town.

A great little spot, it has like a "mom & pops" feel to it. We ordered the food to go, we had to wait about 35 mins. The brisket is hands down the best they have along with the BBQ ribs. The bbq pork was sadly dry like most are. I also got the fish plate I don't recommend it. It was very thin, just fried tilapia. The bbq sauce they have to pair with the food is delicious not to sweet. The mashed potatoes were thick, in a good way ( like a mom and pops restaurant. ) The coleslaw was okay. If you haven't tried this place give it a try, alot of locals have probably been going here for years. The restaurant would have gotten 3 stars but I added 1 more for the brisket and bbq ribs. 🍖

Service was good, the food was okay at best. When served, it was obvious that the brisket had been sitting around for quite sometime since it was oxidizing....and cold. Tried again the other day. Same thing, but this time, I tried the ribs by themselves.....cold. Everything was cold like barely room temperature. Update: Never again. Got ribs and brisket again and am sick as a dog. The brisket was awful. It looked like leftovers, and the bark was hard as a rock. The ribs didn't even have the bottom side membrane stripped off. However, I went against my better judgment, and now Im paying for it.

For the past 3 times, my wife and I have been seated at either one of the two worst seats in the barn. The food is okay if you consider its immediate competition. However, when I objected to our seat, the lady manager dissented against my plea and she insisted we sit next to the loudest party, 6” away from the order terminal, next to the kitchen door, and uncomfortably close to other tables. They space the tables so closely together our waitress could not even properly face us to take our order. Not only were our accommodations unacceptable, but the lady who seats us is increasingly rude to us every time we visit. We always tip good service, of which our waitresses last two times earned 25%. We are fairly young looking and we seldom get the treatment older folks get from her. This extent of awkwardly blatant discrimination is indefensible and should be reprimanded in today’s service-oriented industry. She wouldn’t even acknowledge us when we left, and she was the one at the register! This may be the typically acceptable way to treat people in Carlsbad, but in Texas where we come from, we are taught manners. We are deeply disappointed by her attitude and if it wasn’t for her, we would be willing to bare the cramped accommodations and this review would earn...

We arrived about 3 pm and were seated quickly. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and our waitress was really sweet ( forgot to get her name - Darn it). And OMG!!! The sweet potato fries are AWESOME!!! So crispy not mushy at all. The fried okra as a side was also excellent. Hubs and I each ordered the two meat dinner plate with the pork ribs and the brisket and boy were they really delicious and moist. The pickles and the onions on the side added to the meal really nicely and the sweet tea wasn’t too sweet. I will tell you if you order the salad that they have, one will feed two people very easily. also that 2 meat dinner plate could feed two people easily with each of us getting our own we ended up with leftovers for tomorrow, which is not a bad thing For something that was so delicious. We were just passing through town but would definitely eat here again! Thank you for an enjoyable dinner and great service! I’m sorry we forgot to...
