Had the pleasure of attending the wedding reception of our friends here. We got here an hour before the reception was to start. There's ample parking. We decided to have a drink(s) and sit outside while we waited. The outside sitting area is chill it has pub tables and a few benches with huge umbrellas to shade you from the Sun. Inside, there is the bar, communal tables, booths and plenty of flat screen Tv's. The atmosphere was festive, yet chill, as the wedding party and some of the guests were enjoying drinks and socializing. The service by the staff was efficient, friendly and professional. I ordered a Gin and Tonic that was perfect. Before long we were headed upstairs to the banquet hall. It was perfectly decorated and the staff were patiently waiting to serve. There was a premium open bar. The DJ started announcing the bridal party and they entered. Before long our table(s) were being called up for food. OMG! Everything was delicious and hot! I don't think I've ever had a more tender and juicy piece of pork. There was a Steak carving station, Pasta, Vegetables, Chicken Francaise, Salmon, Potatoes, etc. The staff kept busy removing plates and glasses when people were done with them and kept the warming trays full of food. After folks were finished eating, some got up and danced. It was a beautiful evening. The staff assisted the Bride and Groom with making things easy with cutting their first piece of cake, and then cutting up the larger sheet cake for guests. There's even an outside patio to be enjoyed. It was truly a beautiful affair. As we were leaving, we were encountered by a pervy old guy "George", Geesh, I hope he isn't the owner. He seemed to be what the kind of person that trolls truck stops in search of some "strange", would be like. While ogling my wife, he says "I hope I'm not offending you" seconds before a failed attempt at offending me about my floral print tie. He shouldn't have access to Banquet customers/ guests or any other customers. Other than that It was a great night. To the gentleman working the bar earlier that day and the rest of the staff, THANKS for a truly GREAT experience (and...
Read moreRedd's is a great bar/ restaurant to stop at before or after an event at MetLife stadium. There's a large bar area and hightop table, booth and low table seating. There's also an outdoor patio area. For some events there is an outdoor bar too. In the fall there is an Octoberfest tailgate available for purchase before football games.
The menu offers something for everyone. Great wings, sliders, mozzarella sticks, sandwiches and pizzas. There's a good number of beer selections including both domestic and Craft beers available at the bar. The full bar offers a wide number of cocktails. The staff are friendly and the service at either the tables or the bar is good.
Redd's offers a shuttle bus to the stadium before and after events. It's a great way to avoid stadium traffic and a place to park if you don't have a parking pass for a Jet or Giants game. It's a quick ride to and from the stadium. The line to get on the bus on the way back from the stadium can be a little long but not terrible. Additionally the stadium traffic sometimes makes it harder for the shuttle bus to get to the pickup point on the way back from the stadium and can slow the ride back to Redd's once you're on the bus.
There is often a last chance beer bar set up near the line to board the shuttle bus heading to the stadium and its cheaper then beer at the stadium.
Redd's is definitely worth a visit and a good place to relax before or after an...
Read moreWe had our wedding planned before COVID at a different location... that was before that other place cancelled our event without any notice... let's talk about Redd's now.
The day after our cancellation at the other place Doug was ready and able to meet with us. Our date had availability and he was more than welcoming to help us out with tables, guest accommodations, set up times and scheduling.
Working with them the day of was a bit crazy, but whose wedding isnt a bit crazy the day of.
The food was good, especially the salmon and penne vodka. Redd's was even able to change one of the menu items to better suit our needs.
Drinks were strong, and drinkable. Hate when a drink is just alcohol with a splash of fruit juice. These were just the right balance so hats off to the bartender!
Staff was nice, courteous, and even helped while we were doing our intros for our ceremony, post ceremony rearranging, any spills were cleaned up, table sodas were refilled. They poured our champagne too!
They were also helpful to our other vendors.
There were 2 other events going on after our wedding, so it was a cut a bit short. That being said, our guests were heading out around the time our event ended. Some were upset it was cut short, but hey isnt that why there's an...
