Get ready for a rambling run-on sentence - Inside the American Dream mall, on the first floor, next to the Hmart, there's an Asian food court with a counter that serves up serviceable Korean fried chicken.
While there are a few non-chicken items on the menu, they're all minor sidekicks to the obvious star. The first order of business is to determine whether you want boneless or wings, then to choose the flavor. Some of these will be saucy, while others are more of a powdered variety. When you're finished ordering, they'll hand you a pager so that you'll know when your order is ready even if you're waiting at a table at the very outskirts of the food court as were we.
Wanting to try as much of a variety as possible, our family ordered a boneless soy garlic and original spicy wings. On the plus side, the chicken is pretty good. Our soy garlic boneless chicken had healthy breading that stayed crispy even with a healthy dousing of that sweet and savory sauce.
As good as the boneless chicken was, the wings were more tender and flavorful (as is the case with most Korean fried chicken places). The 'original spicy' is a powdered flavoring, and while it's not the three-flame fire that was insinuated on the menu, there's a nice little back-of-the-throat burn with these.
I enjoyed these just fine, but I felt pretty greasy and heavy at the end of it all. I was also shocked at the cost. Two orders of sixteen pieces amounted to nearly $77, a total that would get arguably get you way more food a big-name fried chicken brand. I'm told this is typical of Korean fried chicken joints, but the value just wasn't...
Read moreI recently ordered chicken from this place because I was craving wings and excited to try something new. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed. The chicken tasted different and not fresh at all. When I bit into it, it tasted rotten and was really bad. I went up to ask for a new one or a refund, and we waited about 20 minutes. Then, they tried to charge us for a new one! But then the women bring it to us and gave us a new one which was good of her, because that how business suppose to be; overall we spend around $30+ which I wasn’t really enjoying it but I don’t expect any fresh food from food court. the next one new fresh one taste perfect the same as the regular bbq chicken, I think sharing this with the community will help us because to warm them and be careful when you eat it because this something serious might happens to a person if the food is not fresh or overnight.
We walked around the whole court, wanting to try other food, but decided to give their BBQ chicken a try, including the soy garlic and Golden Original. The Golden Original was terrible. Honestly, this place isn’t that great I think it was the drumstick I’m very disappointed but might come back for...
Read moreI went here the other day after a day of shopping. The food was great. Hands down the best chicken I have ever eaten!! I got the boneless cheesling chicken my wife got the spicy galbi and my daughter got the soy garlic. All were delicious, and cooked perfect the portions were large enough for us to have some leftovers. I would recommend this place if you like chicken. They have a large menu, but we were interested in the chicken that day. The staff was friendly and polite and even brought our order to us when our beeper went off. I wish I lived closer to this place so I can go more frequently. Give it a try you won't be...
