If you're in search of an exceptional dining experience that will leave you craving more, look no further than Anton and Michel. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Anton and Michel is nothing short of a culinary paradise that far surpassed our expectations. From the moment my sister and I stepped into the restaurant, it is an atmosphere of elegance and refinement. Every dish was a masterpiece. We ordered multiple appetizers - The Wild Mushroom Risotto was a masterpiece of creamy perfection, with each bite bursting with the earthy richness of locally sourced wild mushrooms. The Sweet Potato Gnocchi was a revelation; as my sister aptly described it, "life-changing" - delicate pillows of goodness bathed in a delectable sauce. The Ahi Tuna Crudo featured pristine slices of fresh tuna complemented by a delightful accompaniment of fresh guacamole. The Dungeness Crab Cake was simply divine, with succulent crab meat and a perfectly crisp, golden exterior. The Beet Salad was a work of art, with sweet and earthy beets paired perfectly with tangy goat cheese and crunchy candied walnuts. It was so good that I couldn't resist ordering some to go. The Iceberg Wedge was equally delightful, with a deliciously decadent artichoke dressing. As for the main courses, The A5 Wagyu melted in my mouth like butter. I was beyond impressed with the tenderness and flavor. The Seafood Fricassee was this seafood lover's dream, it featured a medley of salmon ravioli, shrimp, and scallops, in a velvety sauce that was nothing short of perfection. Dipping the fresh warm baked bread into the sauce was just as good. My sister opted for the Airline Chicken, and with one bite, I understood why. It was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, certainly a true testament to the chef's skill and expertise. The grand finale of Bananas Foster was a true showstopper, with ripe bananas flambeed to perfection and served with creamy vanilla ice cream. The chocolate cake was a chocolate lover's dream come true, it was rich, indulgent, and utterly irresistible. Thank you to Anton and Michel and your staff. You offered more than just a meal - you provided my sister and me with an unforgettable culinary experience that will leave a...
Read moreMy husband and I booked out Anton & Michel for our wedding dinner/reception in November 2022, and we are forever indebted to Loie and his incredible staff for making that night completely magical for us and our ~90 guests! We had eaten at the restaurant before and were instantly impressed by the quality of the food paired with the excellent service - requesting to book out the restaurant for our Carmel wedding was a no-brainer. In the months leading up to the wedding, we dropped by the restaurant many times to plan out the day-of details and have been consistently charmed by the meals we've eaten and the people we've spoken with.
On the night of the buy-out, the ambiance of the restaurant was absolutely perfect and the layout of the seating had been thoughtfully designed to optimally fit our guest count. The beautiful back patio of the restaurant offered guests an outdoor option during the cocktail hour which flowed smoothly into dinner. Every guest dietary restriction was seamlessly accommodated from hors d'oeuvres to dessert, our servers were kind and attentive, and the food/drink maintained the same level of excellence that we had experienced in every visit prior. We received countless compliments throughout the evening on the food, the drinks, the service, the ambiance, etc. Safe to say, the evening made quite the impression on us.
The day after the wedding, we came back for one last dinner before leaving town and were again wowed - they had set up a special table for us and provided a fantastic dinner with some of the dishes we hadn't gotten to try during the wedding. The warmth and friendliness with which we have been received on every occasion goes so far above and beyond - we truly do feel like family when we come here. Thank you Anton & Michel for giving us a most...
Read moreThere is a nice pool and fountain on the outside and on the inside there’s a nice fireplace and a super cool sliding bathroom door. After reading the reviews I was really excited to be going with my boyfriend to give this place a try. However, our experience wasn’t great. When we arrived for our reservation, we couldn’t find the door then when we did find the door we saw this guy with a suit standing outside. My boyfriend greeted him and he ignored us. Then when we were about to open the door he gave us a judge mental look as he approached us. He asked if we needed help. I said we had a reservation for 9. That’s when he began scolding us and saying that they gave us a call and that they close at 9. I don’t answer calls from unknown numbers and when they texted me at 8, We were driving there because we live far away. Anyways, because of that first interaction we felt unwelcomed, as if we were being a bother. It is not our fault that we thought our reservation for 9 would be ready at 9. That is an issue with their website that needs fixing and for him to try to push the blame on to us was unprofessional and unkind. I felt uneasy and at that time wanted to leave however, I heard great things about the duck and wanted to give it a chance. Our kind waiter brought us the duck, and as I tried to eat it, I began to taste the salty tears I’d been holding back. To me the duck wasn’t great, but in all fairness it could’ve been ruined by that. I admit that I think this place has potential, and for many people it is a great place. So who knows maybe you’ll like it. However from my personal experience, I...
