Update: Since posting the review I did, the owner and someone else contacted me after my contact with the headquarters.
I am very pleased to say that with that positive response and hopefully I was able to better explain things to help. I decided to give 5 stars for prompt response and for offering a chance to be heard.
I felt badly saying the food was typical. I realized I wasn't able to really focus on the food during our meal because of how chaotic things felt.
I will still say the people working here are first class all the way. They really hustle and keep things mobing. I was very impressed with that.
As of the time ai was there I can say that even with my manual daily use wherlchair it was cramped. Power chair users might not be able to fit. I could ne wrong and I may not have seem the entire restaurant. I can only say the area I was in was cramped at best.
I hope that my suggestions prevent the ADA and or other issues from happening. I don't like either personally.
If you go and you will most likely have to wait, it IS worth it. The level of customer service is second to none. Very family friendly, kid friendly as well.
I would highly recommend able people go and enjoy.
I sort of recommend it if you use a manual wherlchair.
Not sure if a power chair user could fit anyplace I could see.
I own a small basic power chair and even with its smaller size (hoveround) it would not fit anyplace I saw the day we dined here.
The change in rating was well earned.
Thank you for listening to a...
Read moreCute 50s style tex mex place good food, but the last few times service has gotten worse and worse to down right awful. Went in recently and no hostess in sight after several minutes the manager noticed us and came up asking us where his hostess was! She then came around the corner from extended unused dining area looking like she had been napping back there, sleep lines on her face from having head down on the table or her shirt. We were seated and waiter came to take drink order....full 5 minutes from order to drinks coming even though we were seated next to the bar. Still we like the food here so we let that all go. Ordered our meal and waited another 30 minutes. I finally flagged down a different waiter as our had not been back and he said " oh yeah your food has been ready for 10 minutes, we lost the ticket and didn't know whose it was. So he brings out or cheese covered meals that have been sitting under a heat lamp for 10 minutes....gross coagulated cheese. I asked for a manager and when we told her what happened...she argued with us that the food had not been sitting for ten minutes and that it was fine. Now she did offer to remake it but at this time we had been in the restaurant for a good 45 minutes and had other places to go so we said no and she argued more and said we were being unreasonable. I simply told her we didn't want to pay for a meal we were not going to eat. She huffed " fine I'll take care of it" and walked off. So yeah the food is good...but not worth dealing with...
Read moreWe liked how the chips were light, crisp and fresh instead of traditional thick chips which at most places are hit or miss as far as freshness. The salsa and ranch/jalapeno dips that came with the free chips were very good. My green chile chicken enchiladas plate was FULL, fresh and delicious and THANK YOU Chuys for providing a nice heaping serving of rice and beans. I hate these places that give you either a choice of rice or beans or both but they are a small portion and charge extra. My wife said her veggie enchiladas were very tasty. I confirmed that as well. Another THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU...finally a Gen z server who did not interrupt us while we had food in our mouth, a server who did not ask us if we were ready to order while still reading the menus, a server who was a pushy up seller. Our server at the Zionsville location was great! I overheard another server at a table and i realized Chuy's does not hire people that they need to train to be attentive and nice .... instead they just hire people that already are attentive and nice. All in all for the price, portions and service Chuy's was spot on. The food was fresh and tasty! I always ignore these reviews that say " the food was gross and greasy" or they use words like terrible, burnt, awful, horrible, blah blah bah blah. We will definitely return and also spread the word. Maybe you guys can show Cracker Barrel how to cook...
