Hugos Restaurant — Restaurant in Carpinteria

I really wanted to like this place. The people were friendly, the other customers all seemed to regulars, and it has a unique old school diner/ Asian restaurant vibe.

Sadly, the food and prices kept it from getting a higher score. My biscuits and gravy looked and tasted canned. My companion's corned beef sandwich was okay but nothing exciting.

Great little spot. The staff was attentive and very friendly, felt welcome the moment we entered. The food was quick, fresh, and expertly cooked.
