99 Cent Discount Store — Local services in Carpinteria

Owner following around the store . So today I went to the store after work I got groceries in the bag and I wanted to see what they had bc I haven’t been there for a while and I was looking around I was seeing the owner I was okay he just working and then I went to another aisle I saw him pass by me didn’t think nothing of it until I went to where the clothes is and he was starring at me and got close to me and then I went to pay and I saw he was aside from me and very close I think he wanted to see what was in my bag and accused me of stealing . And when I walked away I saw him still starring at me , I didn’t like that he was following me around . I’m never going back and also other people I know said that they are racist maybe he thought I was stealing because I’m Hispanic idk but following around somebody is not okay . The 99 cent discount store is ok but a little misleading. The store itself isn't a 99 cent store, it's just a discounted and the name pulls people in. They have a decent selection of products but most of them are around the same prices you would find a lot of other place if you looked a bit harder. This is NOT a .99 Store not even close to the one downtown with same name.. I bought tissue there last yr, this yr less tissue & higher price same pkging I still had last yrs & compared..They just shrugged their shoulders, when I asked. Cheaper prices at other stores, if you want convenience in Carpinteria they are a store..not a .99...
