Sunburst Wine Bar — Restaurant in Carpinteria

I was in town for several days and every time we drove down Carpinteria Avenue, we noticed this particular corner eatery patio was packed throughout the day and night. Adults and kiddos out there eating and drinking. I made a mental note to myself to check 'em out. That I did ... I went there for lunch.

They share a shopfront with Dang's burgers. Walk into the building and smack to the left is the Dang's burger ordering counter. To the right is Sunburst Wine Bar. The bar has a bar counter and chairs. The interior look is modern, unpretentious casual. Bright with lots of natural light. But if you're looking for a TV, they don't have any. The vibe is chill, unpretentious, welcoming, and family friendly. Family friendly bar?!? No, kids aren't allowed at the counter but are allowed on the outside patio and well as leashed dogs. The patio seating is tables and bench seating.

The bar menu has draft beers, local wines. and canned drinks. They have flights. While partaking in a drink at the bar, you can even eat your Dang's food at the bar as well. The bartender was engaging with a...

Great place for best beer and wine in the Carpenteria area. It has plenty of outdoor seating space. It’s open all days in a week and price is reasonable and well positioned to accommodate you need. As name suggests it’s Bar only place and no food served but you have few options for quick bite - grab and go kept in the freezer. I have not tried though. Beer is great and ambient is good. I would love them to introduce some type of food like pizza etc but anyway we have plenty of such options surrounding anyone...

So happy to have this sweet addition to our Carp scene. A great wine and beer tap selection and a very nice bottle shop featuring local sips. I love that we can bring the dog, sit on the patio and people watch. I'm looking forward to when they extend their hours. I think they could open as early as 11 on weekends and definitely stay open until 9 or 10 during the summer months. I have to say I've even found myself trying to stop by on a Monday or Tuesday only to find...
