To everyone: please stop going to this place. Maybe if enough people stop, the restaurant will make some much-needed changes.
I’ve tried to level with the owner before, providing feedback that their food is mostly served cold. Unfortunately, the owner dismissed my concerns in less than five seconds, suggesting that I might be grabbing too much food at once and letting it go cold on my plate. Instead of taking responsibility, they blamed me for the issue, advising that I should only grab what I’m about to eat to keep it warm.
The food quality and preparation are unacceptable. I’ve seen cooks mixing older food (like shrimp) with fresher dishes right in front of customers. Even they seem to know some pieces shouldn’t be served. The General Tso’s chicken is swimming in watery sauce instead of being glazed, the coconut shrimp is cold and overly starchy, and the dumplings are cold with crispy edges from sitting out too long. Many of the fried chicken items aren’t even chicken—they’re just fried batter with no meat inside. On my last visit, everything was cold. It’s unpleasant to bite into cold food, especially when you’re paying a decent amount for a meal.
This restaurant will never succeed if the owner refuses to own up to these shortcomings. It feels like people keep giving this place a chance because they genuinely want a local spot to enjoy a good meal. However, the owner needs to listen, stop being defensive, and take the feedback seriously. Don’t blame your customers for the poor quality of your food. Instead, acknowledge the complaints, identify the issues, and fix them. Whether it’s your burners, your staff, or the timing of bringing out fresh dishes—figure it out. Keeping food warm and fresh isn’t just a restaurant standard; it’s a basic expectation.
Even the drinks leave much to be desired—they might as well be water. It’s clear the restaurant has gotten too comfortable. You need to do better. Accept the feedback and use it to make meaningful improvements. It might be rough at first, but with better food, you might even justify raising your prices, given the limited competition in the area. But serving poor-quality food to the same community that supports you is a mistake.
This is the last $100 my family will spend here. We’re a family of five who enjoys dining out twice a week, but your restaurant will no longer be on our list. I hope others notice the same issues and stop supporting a place that refuses to provide the value we’re paying for. Don’t wait until it’s too late to make changes—because once it’s all gone,...
Read moreOver priced, lack of variety, food is not hot and wasn't good. Was sick after eating there. Service was horrible, was ignored after being seated, was charged for my twins eating off my plate, they should tell you in advance they don't allow sharing. When I asked politely about the twins being charged, instead of explaining nicely their policy, I was talked down to and made fun of. If you get a plate you pay, I get that but bc they are so young (turned 3 in July) they didn't physically go get a plate, ate a total together of 4 pieces of chicken off mine. Thought It would just be my plate im paying for. Fine don't mind paying for my kids just was shocked when the ticket came and it was $50 for 2 adults 2 kids for lunch. So my honest opinion Service was bad, never got a refill until i flagged her down, waitress took my plate before i was done 2 times(they want that fee), food was not hot, it was barely warm, tasted weird, not much to choose from, each item had 2 different labels so wasn't sure what I was getting, overpriced, and rude, def not kid friendly. Need to have it posted that sharing with small children isn't allowed and also they charge $6 PER lbs of food not eaten. I don't recommend it but hey maybe I went on a bad day (food inspector was there. Curious to see her report) but we won't be going back. They are definitely money hungry. I can't believe the per lbs waste fee, better believe i sucked it up and ate what I got rather I liked it or not lol (paid for it with an upset stomach rest of the day, and I didn't eat much)
For the record I know how buffets work, was just asking simply hey they didn't walk up there they ate off mine and only ate 4 pieces together, can I at least just pay for 1 instead of 2 plates. Instead no im sorry this is our policy I got no this is a buffet you get a plate you pay no matter if you got food from your plate or the bar you pay! So I'm more upset how we were treated by all around us even other customers. Maybe I was in the wrong for even asking but def was a bad...
Read moreI love to give five stars and when we had a less than favorable time our first visit we decided to visit again to see if it was an off night and unfortunately it seems to just be the location. I do have to start with the staff is very friendly and eager to help when seating you and keeping your drinks filled. The buffet is smaller so there are fewer selections but they keep them fresh and filled. The issues we had were with the tight table seating we believe possibly trying to maximize occupancy but making it difficult to just sit at your table comfortably when anyone else was seated at a table behind you. As well as the sushi bar and hibachi grill. The sushi was very limited and they seem to have a had time keeping it out. While flavors were great alot of it was the same so there also was not much variety in the limited selection they did offer. The hibachi grill was not running both times we visited, we had much hoped for it. If there are specific times and days it runs just an opinion possibly post them a little larger for guests or on the door. Overall a great buffet to eat for traditional fried rice and the prices are affordable with friendly staff! This is not meant to pick them apart simply if you are Celiac like I am there's very little here...
