Get anything but a blizzard. I have been here numerous times. I rarely get a blizzard because Iâm convinced they donât teach them how to do them properly anymore. I worked at DQ a while back when I was younger. We were taught the way to mix the blizzard so you can turn them over, and theyâre thick enough to not spill everywhere. Sometimes customers would want it even thicker which meant not mixing as much and having the proper topping to ice cream ratio or not as thick which I would add either melted ice cream or a little milk. Thereâs a technique to it that I feel has been lost. I did ask for my blizzard to be thicker which I was informed was beyond their control(not true; they just donât know how to do it.) I responded with, âOh, you donât know how to? Because I do. I used to work at DQ.â Which I think came off wrong because once I got to the window, I was questioned on the process. Then I was complimented on how they liked my shirt and it says be kind on it. Petty, but I digress because I wasnât trying to be rude. I only stated an observation; it wasnât an attack. I didnât mean it any type of way. I did say it without a filter though, so I can see how blunt honesty comes off rude. Iâve included pictures of the blizzards right after we got them. We canât even eat them. They are a melted mess. We put them in the freezer when we got home hoping we salvage some of our moneys worth. It was a cotton candy and picnic peach cobbler. Sigh~ I wouldnât waste my money on a blizzard unless you like melted ice cream. I blame Covid, honestly. Seems like the quality of everything...

Read moreI had my granddaughters this day, and we decided it was time for ice cream, so we stopped in at the Carrollton location. Yes, it was around lunchtime. We decided for the 4 - and 6 year old they wanted a dipped chocolate small cone, and I got a medium one. They took our order and gave me my change back.. yes, I know they were a couple of orders before ours. So I thought it might take a minute or two before they get to our order.. well, the other orders were for food. Ours was just ice cream .so they made our ice cream cones and sat them in their little window and sat there even longer... so I was going to reach and get the ice creams before they started to melt even more than they had . The lady behind the counter said you are not supposed to be there . I told the lady I would like to get the ice creams before they completely melted.. she said we'll you are not supposed to be there.. yes I Know they are a shortage of people working. But if you are going to sell ice cream, maybe she should have called out the order .. remember it is soft served Ice cream it does melt in this kind of weather in no time.. I know she might only fill the ice cream orders but maybe if the others are busy filling and handing out the food orders it should not be that hard to fill a couple of ice cream cones and call out the order aswell.. ...
