Came in Saturday evening to grab some burgers and fries , after getting my order I saw I was short 1 fry spoke to a young man told him I was missing a french fry and also i had asked for my fries to be well done , The young man informed me I was only charged for one fry I had to pay for another on which was fine. While I was waiting on my french fries, a young lady approached me and asked me what was I waiting for? I told her I was waiting order a fries was missing in my bag. And asked if she could cook them well done so she came back with one order of fries and I told her I was still missing another French fry she rudely ask to see my recipe which I showed her she went an got another ff handed it to me I looked in the and saw 2 different sizes I asked her why that was , she grab the fries and said it wasn’t mine , I told her but You handed it to me then I ask to speak to the manager she said she was the manager and for me to leave her store, OMG I thought..Her name Dalia , now I’ve been in food service business for a very long time and I’ve dealt with a lot of un happy customers before I know how customers can be but bottom line. You should always give the best service to your customers… I don’t feel like I was being rude to her. I was a customer asking questions about the order that I had placed and paid for I really felt embarrassed degraded by the way this young girl spoke to me. Read moreMaybe Ive simply had bad luck my last several visits but man service and quality has dropped hard. Maybe it’s the new kids they hired but dang no smiling, no hello, orders are wrong and no apology when asked to fix it. I dont ask for anything complicated. I ask for chocolate, I get vanilla. “Excuse me, I had asked for chocolate.” I get a blank stare, they walk away and come back with chocolate followed by more blank stares. No acknowledgement or apology or anything. Today was the final straw before I decided to write this review. Ordered a shake and on my last sip, a piece of plastic in my throat I had to cough. My family visits here twice a week but after this plastic in the food incident? Done. Last week there was a big piece of lint in the burger packaging. Also I noticed the ice cream scoops have been very small (and I don’t mean due to inflation). When I ask to correct this, I get a “can you just leave and not come back?” Kind of look. Also the food counter looks filthy nearly every time we visit. We’ve been going here for some 15 years. The new people hired here just don’t care. I got in about once a month to purchase a square of vanilla from them (yes the big ice cream tubs behind the counter can be purchased retail for $35 for 5 gallons).
This particular evening 05/29/2023 they were super busy due to Memorial Day (I get it, I used to work for them, 22 years ago) but when the employee goes to the shift manager and that manager (running drive through) waived off the employee for whichever reason then was told to tend to the fryers, leaving me standing at the grocery counter. I left due to the managers incompetence and not the employees!
I have spoken to the stores lead manager and conveyed my grievances and they shall be remarked to the store manager that the type of behavior of the manager in question was extremely unbecoming in front of customers and a slight to the employee as the request did not have enough merit to be bothered by.
I hope the store manager gives the shift manager in question a stern talking to or write up and they receive additional training regarding this particular incident. Now granted the entire lobby and behind counter interactions are all on camera and this can be reviewed by corporate.
