Carrollton needs to know about this place. I've frequented many specialty "third wave" coffee places during my pre-pandemic time working in Atlanta, and also as an avid traveler, have tried some of the country's consensus-best. You heard it here, folks: Buzzards is on par with, if not better than, any craft coffee bar you can find in the states.
You can absolutely tell that they obsess over every step in the coffee process, from the sourcing of the bean, the roast, the grind, extraction, etc. etc. The result of this obsession is a bold yet smooth and never bitter, delicious cup of coffee.
My go-to is their Cortado, which if you get "for here", will be served alongside a refreshing glass of seltzer water. And who could forget the pastries that they bring in from Alon's Bakery. Pairing a Cortado with a Kouign-Amann, notoriously one of the world's most difficult, yet most delicious French pastries, serves as a perfect breakfast, or even a midday pick-me-up.
The vibe is immaculate, always with great tunes playing, and the staff is well-trained and friendly. Their merch is amazing as well. I will keep coming back as often as I can. Thank you, Buzzards Coffee, for gifting us with your...
Read moreBuzzard Coffee has redefined how good a coffee shop can be outside of a major city. Hands down, some of the best coffee I’ve had in the whole state of Georgia. The reviews complaining about the price or serving sizes probably haven’t been to many real coffee shops, so don’t let that deter you from visiting. Their pour-overs are smooth and packed with flavor, and the espresso is incredible. Even the little details, like their cool serving trays and glassware, show the care and thought they put into everything. It’s all too common for coffee shops to rely on gallons of artificial syrup to “add flavor” to their lackluster brews. That’s definitely not the case at Buzzard. Their coffee is the star of the show.
The vibe? Spot on. Cozy, trendy, and the perfect place to chill with friends or get some work done.
Any small town would be lucky to have a shop this good in their community. If you’re anywhere near Carrollton, you have to stop by Buzzard Coffee—it’s a great example of what a coffee...
Read moreI visited this café to try an iced matcha latte and wanted to add some flavor, so I chose strawberry. The base price for a large matcha was $7, and there was an additional charge for the strawberry. However, the flavor was barely noticeable—if there was any at all.
I went back inside to see if I could improve the taste by adding some raw sugar, but it didn’t help. When I asked the staff for suggestions to fix it, the employee at the counter offered to add a little syrup, which I appreciated. However, she barely added any, and her overall demeanor was unhelpful and unwelcoming.
I was hoping for a better first-time experience, both in terms of customer service and drink quality. While I liked the atmosphere, the lack of friendliness and assistance from the staff left a negative impression. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return for coffee based on...
