Gigi's Cupcakes — Restaurant in Carrollton

I am a teacher and this week is Teacher Appreciation Week. My coworkers boyfriend brought her cupcakes on his lunch break to show some added appreciation. One of her...less than sweet kids stuck his finger in 3 of the cupcakes, ruining them so she couldn't have them.

I called to see if there was ANYTHING I could do to help turn her day around, and the manager (I believe his name is Rodney) laughed on the phone and said "I have a hard time seeing how thats my problem." I explained that I in NO way thought that it was his fault, or the fault of the company but maybe there was a way to fix it. He said, "well.. thats really not my problem. So...sorry."

About 30 minutes after our phone call I went to the store and asked to speak to him. I told him that I didn't feel like he was very kind on the phone and I again, asked to see if we could find a solution. Explaining that I would pay for different cupcakes, but I didn't appreciate being dismissed on the phone.

He told me he was SHOCKED that I was there and how ridiculous I was for being there. I, again, told him I was just trying to fix this problem for a friend and he began to question me about the student and who was responsible for him.

Again, he said he was SHOCKED that I was there, and told ME that I had an attitude. I said, "Sir, I have no attitude but I have also never dealt with anyone in the service industry that screams at the customer."

He picked up the cupcake box and smashed them on the counter. He told me to get my cupcakes from Kroger from now on because he "didn't need me." We started walking out and he said, "You can get the hell out of here, you're a freak of nature."

Have not visited this particular location in a while, seems to be a new (unfriendly) staff working here now. Limited flavors so there wasn’t a lot to choose from. I spent $25 or so for the items pictured (strawberry, lemon, buttercream, wedding cake). I asked about others flavors with designs that I’d gotten before, I was told to go online and place an order (for more money). The second picture with the hearts on top are some I had purchased in the past (under different management) that were picked out of the case without special ordering or up-charge. Had to ask for a bag to carry my box instead of one being provided to me. Asked for a fork to eat the cupcakes, was told they only have spoons. After a search for a spoon, was told they were out and go to the burger joint and ask for one. Premium cupcakes with icing that slid off walking to car, the strawberry flavor was a bit raw, and the basic designs lacked any creation. The other selections were tasteful however I wish there was more to choose from as I love to bring home delightful treats for the kiddos. Disappointed overall with this...

Ordered 20 cupcakes for a birthday party. Most of the icing fell off and when I called back to let them know one of the girl that works there said if I come back later that she would give me 20 cupcakes on the house. I went back later after the birthday party, another girl there said that they don’t do that and the other girl that said that to me is new and has given me misinformation. She proceeds to tell me that I should have put it on a flat surface with the AC on. As I told her i did have it on a flat surface and i had the AC on. Let alone it was on a cold marble kitchen counter top after I picked it up. I’ve had a lot of cupcake orders from other places and never have I ever had any icing fall off like theirs did. I will be emailing the manager. Will I ever order from here? Probably not. I don’t...
