Winchell's Donut House — Restaurant in Carson

I am an Uber driver and have been going to this establishment for a while now as the Winchell's I used to frequent when I was in jr and high school no longer exists (it's a Pizza Hut now). The place is usually kept clean, selection is pretty good, coffee is okay (hit or miss) and the staff is friendly. There was a homeless guy out there playing his obscene "music" but it looks like he was finally made to stop that. One more thing, there is one staff member that I can count on to nearly always mess up my order. And frankly, she isn't the friendliest either. Since the staff mostly wears facemasks and they wear no name tags, I can't tell you which one it is. She angered me today....I didn't say anything though so as to avoid conflict but she is the cause of me editing my review today from 5 to 4 stars. I get real disappointed when I'm stuck...

It's horrific how a staff that works in the food industry doesn't know how to handle food that has been returned from a customer. This girl, I don't know her name, had the audacity to want/ tried to give me the same bagel that another customer had returned a few minutes ago, and the worst thing is that I was there watching when the customer returned it open, I mean it was obvious that the customer had touched. And when I told her I didn't want that same bagel, they still get upset and unapologetic. What a shame because that place was one of my favorites. TO THE BUSINESS OWNER, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE TRAINED HOW TO HANDLE FOOD RETURNED...

I called in my order and when I arrived there was a pretty long line. So, I did what any other human being would've done. I went straight to the register, but to my surprise!! I was asked to get in that long line just to pay my sandwich. Does that make any sense?? I come here all the time ,and believe me I'm not asking for any special treatment. But get in line to NOT order anything just to pay. Just sounds a bit...
