Updated review: Feb. 4, 2023 We ventured out to Ate Track for a late afternoon lunch as I knew my dining companion, an out-of-State guest would love the theme of the restayrant & he did. As we were seated at our table, our waitress from the restaurant's sister restaurant, The Appalachian Grill, from our previous evening's dining experience, Kenzie, greeted us. She was waitressing the early shift at Ate Track! Nice! We had Sweetwater 20oz beers, served in chilled glass mugs - you have to love a mug! I ordered the vegetarian bowl, always a favorite & always soooo good. My paramour had crusted grits with goat cheese & he was really pleased with the presentation, taste & overall creativeness with the dish. Always great food, delightful servers, great cold beer, nice ambiance & reasonable prices. ATE Track remains a must go-to dining spot in Downtown Cartersville!

Ate Track is a great stop for a beer, drinks with friends & to eat lunch or dinner. The taps are good 'n cold, the menu is creative & great tasting, the ambiance is eclectic with decor featuring 'vintage music electronics,' music, album covers & posters (affixed to every imaginable surface) from the 70's-80's. If you bought equipment in those decades, it's probably on the shelf at Ate Track. (The name itself is a nod to the decor.)

Seating choices for dining include being seated at the bar, in the bar, in dining room or al fresco. The latter area, thankfully, is equipped with cooling misters that should be mandatory for outdoor dining in Georgia. If seated outside, be prepared to have conversations halted by trains, which rumble by in fairly close proximity to the restaurant. The trains do run very regularly through the heart of Cartersville, but frankly, the trains add an additional nostalgic ambiance to Ate Track's already existing theme.

Prepare for a wait to be seated Thurs. thru Sat. after 530p, but don't let that hinder your plan to visit. Family friendly, most of the staff is incredibly service oriented - the cook frequently visits patrons' tables lending a gourmet feel to your experience.

Overall, Ate Track is a dining spot not to be missed when in downtown...

Located in a Northwest Georgia town just off Interstate 75 is a unique place to have a great lunch or dinner with friends. A place that you can have a cold brew, stiff shot of whisky or a flavorful glass of your favorite fruit of the vine or vino as some may call it. That location is in an unassuming town of Cartersville, Ga. and the place is " Ate Track Bar & Grill" The address is 25 North Wall St. Cartersville, Ga. 30120. Just in case you need to plug it into your GPS and head over there for some GREAT bar food! Some of the menu items include fish tacos, burgers, fish & Chips, salads and many other item to satisfy a hungry customer. But the food is just a reason to visit. Once you get there, the music will keep you energized your entire visit. The place is covered in vintage stereo equipment from the 60's, 70's,m & 80's and speaker selections to match! YES, they do have Eight Track players just in case you haven't seen one in your lifetime. My estimate there are over 75 to 100 different stereo units on display and at least 50 set of speakers to enjoy viewing.. It is rally a great time warp to visit ! According to our waitress, every stereo and speaker system is in working order. The music is fed through several units and a couple different sets of speakers in each room. Pandora is streamed through the vintage units with a variety of music to make you sing along and enjoy the memories. The place has a full bar and big screen TV's for watching sports.. If you are within a 30 minute drive, you can't pass it buy. Oh yes, just google it if you don't...

Put our name on the list for an outside table for lunch... was told 30 minute wait which was no problem. It was our first (and Last) time coming here so didn't mind waiting. Told the hostess we will wait at the bar and she will call us when ready. Well, 30 minutes comes and goes but didn't think much of it yet... an hour approaches and we notice them calling others that came in way after us so we check with the hostess about how much longer. She obviously either forgot about us or something, she tries to direct us to a table inside. I nicely reminded her that we were waiting for a table out on the patio and she was very rude and said there wasn't any available. I questioned her about what she said 30 minutes to wait and it's now been over an hour, not to mention there are 2 empty tables with nobody sitting at them but for some reason she couldn't seat us at them? The manager came and asked what the problem was so we tell him about the mix up and the long wait... He resumes to say, "What would you like ME to do about it... would you like ME to tell everyone to get up and move so YOU can have a table?" WOW.... not the customer service I would EVER expect from ANY manager ANYEHERE. This place has a cool vibe but the staff was not friendly, the bartender was not attentive and the manager was the most unprofessional person! I don't normally leave reviews but this was uncalled for. All we wanted was to try somewhere new for lunch and from the outside this looked like a cool new place to try..... will...

First off, cool place and we looked forward to it. It is loud, but expected. First off, I will say the one good thing about the food, the spicy pickles were awesome. We asked for another ranch to dip in and it took about 10 minutes and 2 reminders to get it. The home made chips were also good but mine were served half cold, half warm. Now on to the rest. The food was not good. I got the chili burger and the chili was somehow incredibly dry on the burger and there was no flavor to it. My wife got a plain burger and it was burnt. Strong charred flavor and said it was the worst burger she has ever had. We all three ordered medium and they were all well done and beyond. The two that were with us experienced the same. They ordered theirs medium well and they were over cooked. No flavor and very dry. We had to repeatedly ask for things that werent being brought out to us. What? Ketchup, mayo, mustard, dipping sauce, straws. They were incredibly stingy with the amounts. Now let's talk beers. They don't list prices and our guest found out why. $10 each! He got two and yes it was $20 for two beers. So according to my experience, service was bad, food was bad and the prices are too high for what you get. We come to Cartersville 6 or 7 times a year and we have tried to get in here because we like to support local businesses. But based on the food and service, we won't be back here. I don't leave many bad reviews as I always try to find good in a place.

A unique and interesting place that is definitely worth a try. Our visit included good service, reasonably priced good food, and a feast for the eyes and ears with the eclectic atmosphere. Think "Cracker Barrel" antique decor, but for the baby boomer music fan. If you've ever heard yourself utter the words, "They don't make any good music anymore," you might be in the target demographic for this place. You'll find a plethora of classic rock memorabilia: posters, album covers, eight-tracks, and literally dozens of ancient hi-fi stereos and speakers blasting skull-splittingly loud classic rock (don't come here for conversation). "If it's too loud, you're too old!", or so my dad always said. There is a beer and wine selection, but if you're into craft brews, you're sure to be disappointed. Our server had to apologize for the fact that even the surprisingly small number of craft choices on the menu were no longer available. Come for a visit and enjoy decent food and service, your grandpa's favorite rock & roll played at top volume, and a fantastic array of art and audio equipment from days gone by. Don't come to talk or enjoy craft brews.
