Until tonight I have told everyone that this is mine and my wife’s favorite brewery. We regularly go once a week. I have hosted parties in the brewery and rented the event space bringing 100’s of people with me. Tonight we were at the outpost and two of the owners (Dean and his wife) completely stepped over the line. They were trying to get grass to grow back in a small area beside the playground. Kids were playing and some of them got inside the caution tape. The owners didn’t come and ask the parents to help keep the kids out of the area, they yelled at the kids. The parents addressed the owner by apologizing, and explaining that their son was autistic and did not understand nor recognize the caution tape. The owner continued to berate him stating “the kid is not the problem, it’s the parent’s failure to watch their kid”. The dad continued to try to explain and apologize and the owners continued to berate him causing a huge disruption for everyone there. The parent went inside and spoke to the manager and came back outside and things continued to escalate. In my opinion, the owners were completely out of line. It is ridiculous to set up an area that is “family friendly” has a playground with outdoor toys and then loose your mind when your patrons kids use it. My party of 5 finished our drinks and left, on the way out I spoke with Casey, the manager (who is amazing) and expressed my displeasure with the behavior of the owners. Additionally, I spoke to the owner on my way out and expressed my opinion of his and his wife’s behavior. This is definitely the worst example of customer service I have ever seen, not sure we will ever visit this...
Read moreLet me say right off, I think this place is a gem. It was our 95th brewery to visit and I would definitely put it in the top ten percent. Now I know nothing about the owners of this brewery, whether it's single proprietorship, LLC, or some investment group, but obviously some serious capital has been put into the facility itself but with the charm of a small, independently run nano brewery. Located in the heart of downtown Cartersville, which, while no longer exactly "small", still retains much of that small town feel that it had 40 years when I lived not too distantly and made occasional forays to it. The beer tenders were personable, welcoming, and more than ready to extol the virtues of the beers on tap. We had our typical two flights and were able to sample most of the brews available. While only three years old, Drowned Valley maintains an impressive array of offerings; and it's not just the quantity that is impressive but the quality as well. From their Cartersville Light Czech style lager to their Mozilla DIPA (double IPA), I found their brews consistently delicious and good representations of their style. If you live in the area or are just passing through, make it a point to stop in and enjoy a brew or two (or three). You...

I am a self-proclaimed beer hater, so when a new brewery opened up in Cartersville I wasn’t over-the-moon excited about checking it out. My husband and I were driving by one weekend and it was absolutely overflowing with people who looked to be having the time of their lives. The ambiance was so inviting with live music playing on the stage, a fire blazing on the patio, and groups of people engulfed in corn hole and Jenga tournaments we couldn’t resist. We decided to park and check the place out and I am SO glad we did.
DVBC has become our favorite local hangout spot. I love the fact that our friends with kids (both human or furry) can meet up with us for a few hours of darts, shuffleboard or Yahtzee. The food trucks are always top notch, and believe it or not— I have found THREE beers that I truly enjoy. They have also recently added flavored seltzers which have all been delicious!
The environment is stunning and the staff are so friendly and welcoming, definitely a must visit in the...
