This is a nostalgic little joint that brings you back to the counter-style diners of the 40's and 50's (yes this diner opened in the mid-40's!).

The staff are all stable folk who are local, and many locals come in to eat here because it's a favorite breakfast spot in Cartersville, including for me.

It's a very basic menu (breakfast and lunch menu and breakfast/lunch hours only).

If you just want an order of eggs, bacon/ham, grits and toast or maybe some biscuits and gravy, pancakes, hamburgers, etc then you'll be in heaven.

Service is awesome, food is basic and good, no frills, just good solid food at a reasonable price. Location is awesome, parking is plentiful and they have a few tables outside to sit on the sidewalk and listen to the sounds of downtown city center.

Highly recommend for your breakfast and lunch!...

I went here for breakfast and the food was just OK but the experience was sub par and disappointing. Expected more from a local spot in Cartersville that had been around for a long time. The steak biscuit was soaked in a watery gravy sauce that tasted like a pre packaged gravy. The steak had a strong meat stench to it and was completely non appetizing. The cooks didnt have any gloves on while cooking or hairnets, and were walking around touching everything without hand washing. Only drinks to have are bottled juices, canned soda and a basic drink fountain machine. The eggs, bacon and hashbrowns were greasy but overall just OK in taste. My order was messed up 3 different ways when I was served but was quickly fixed once brought up. The server and wait staff were very friendly...

Five stars for the ambiance, three for the food, thus the four stars. It's your classic home town "greasy spoon." The people there are wonderful. The service was great and the food arrived unbelievably fast. And it was good, but it wasnt stunning. My wife ordered the egg sandwich and it was literally just a fired egg on toasted white bread. I mean, I guess that is an egg sandwich. If order anything with chili, you'll have to eat it with a fork. The best thing about this place is the old time vibe and feeling like you're somewhere where everything in the world is OK. Simpler times when things were better is a definite feeling here. Absolutely try it if you're...

Arrived for breakfast at this small town diner in Cartersville, GA .. limited bar seating so we arrived around 1000A and found two seats .. I ordered 3 eggs sunny-side-up and bacon with hash browns along w/biscuits and gravy and the Mrs ordered 3 scrambled eggs with grits, hash brown, and biscuits and gravy .. food tasted like we cooked it in our own kitchen and the biscuits/gravy was fantastic .. very delicious meal for your money makes an awesome value and dining experience .. they even sell Ross's Diner merchandise .. by the time we finished our meal, most of the seats were taken and there was a line by the door 🙂

We had a lot of fun with long time employees, Joan and Mandy. I met Mr. and Mrs. Moore who recommended the bacon, eggs over medium and biscuits and gravy. I smiled and said, ‘I’ll have the Mr. Moore special, too 😀” Old fashioned breakfast and lunch counter with and ok’d fashioned welcoming warmth has graced downtown Cartersville for 75 years! We really enjoyed their breakfast foods Have a great time The poke stops and gyms in the photo were reached from inside the restaurant. Restroom is outside and down the sidewalk ar the side of the building.
