Heaven Scent Cupcakes — Restaurant in Cartersville

We have been regular customers of this business for two years and have always enjoyed their cupcakes until yesterday. A little history - earlier this month, we noticed that the price of a jumbo cupcake increased $.30 each, a 10% increase from what we had been paying. Not a big deal as we realize that the cost of goods has risen and we certainly didn’t mind paying the increased costs but felt it would have been a good idea to at least mention the increase either with a sign at the register or on the door or even when ringing up the sale, especially to their regular customers. Unfortunately, we were taken by surprise yesterday when we were charged ANOTHER price increase of $.70 per cupcake (that is on top of the previous increase) in less than 3 weeks time - a total of a 33% increase and again, no mention of the higher price. To make matters worse, it seems that the quality of these now very expensive cupcakes is no longer there, or at least it wasn’t for our latest purchase. Our cupcakes tasted stale, not fresh, and the filling inside was bland and tasteless. Sadly, this shop no longer seems to take pride in their product and comes across now that it is all about the money. I know that the loss of 1 or 2 customers won't break a business but with the ongoing surprise price increases and product quality decreases, we can no longer support this...

They and the owner were great! My wife and I had Heaven Scent Cupcakes make a small top tier cake and a small variety of cup cakes for our wedding. They were a hit with everyone. The owner was great to work with. Since my wife and my first real conversation was about trucks we had them incorporate a toy metal truck and "mud" into our top tier and it was awesome. My wife took the leftover dozen or so cupcakes to work 2 days later and they were still awesome enough that her co-workers raved about them. Located in a quaint town square area. We walked in and though they did not have a large shop or a huge selection, what they had looked and smelled delicious! To be honest we have tried a few cupcake specialty shops before, and frankly never found any of them to live up to the hype. Until now. We bought a German chocolate cupcake and then continued on our road trip. After taking a bite of the cupcake we kicker ourselves for not getting more!
