I’m torn writing this review because my family and I are HUGE fans of Jefferson’s...even have the t-shirt! I went to college at Jacksonville State and spent many hours and a ton of $$$ in the late 90’s/early 2000’s eating and drinking at the original restaurant. I have visited nearly every Jefferson’s location in NW Georgia and I am SUPER excited about the location coming soon to Ringgold as it is the closest one to my home yet!!!!
Unfortunately, the Cartersville location is TERRIBLE. If you go during non-peak hours, you will probably have a decent experience. However if they are busy, they simply cannot handle the crowds they attract. On three separate occasions over the last few months, we have gone on a Friday or Saturday night to be given an expected wait time only to have them lose track of the scrap of paper they are using to keep up with the line. Two of the times, after waiting about 20 minutes past the estimated wait time, we went to ask about how much longer it would be only to find out they had no record of us giving them our name or number; they lost their list....we left frustrated and disappointed without engaging the hostess in an inquiry as to what happened. Last night we were excited as when we went in to ask where we were in line they said we were NEXT. This was 30 minutes past the communicated wait time. We stood in the restaurant and waited for them to clear the table. It sat dirty for about 10 minutes with dishes still present. We watched another family come in, walk right up to the hostess and they sat them at that table while they quickly cleaned it. We took a deep breath while trying to not get frustrated with our favorite restaurant only to watch something similar happen with another table. When I went to ask the same hostess we had talked to, she acted like she hadn’t spoken to me three times in the prior 20 minutes and didn’t recollect the situation. I reminded her the situation and her response was to say in a combative tone “I’m only 17”. I asked her if that was the reason that she couldn’t manage the crowd and if she had or needed any help from others and she said “I shouldn’t talk to her like that”. She quickly escalated a situation into an argument that if it were to be instigated, it should have been by US but she definitely let us know that we were in the wrong and not her. When asked to see the manager, she said they were too busy and they wouldn’t bother them with this situation. After waiting for 90 minutes for a communicated 30 minute wait, we left without eating for the last time at this location.
The management of this restaurant’s volume is absolutely terrible. Every hostess we have dealt with has been rude, unorganized, and unprofessional. I sincerely hope the franchisee for the Ringgold location is different than the one in Cartersville because my love of this brand that originated in my little college town has certainly dwindled due to this location in Cartersville. I would hope that regional management would be more aware of issues such as this. Perhaps we are just the unlucky ones and others haven’t had similar experiences and therefore hasn’t warranted...
Read moreVisited for lunch and wasn't impressed. I've visited the Rome, Dalton, and Calhoun locations and never been disappointed. Makes this one even more so disappointing that I was disappointed. Heck even had to park a block away.
Walked in and the sign said wait to be seated so I waited a moment (wasn't that busy only a couple of tables had people at them and a like 3 people at the bar). I was told to sit anywhere. I don't like sitting at bars, so I chose one of the tables (the one closest to the bar). I ordered the wings with chips. I've ordered this same thing at the other locations (seems to be a good judge dish when comparing...plus was in the mood for wings). I received my order at a decent amount of time, no complaints. It's when I received my order that it all kinda started to disappoint. The wings were small and not very meaty (especially like what I've had in the past from the other locations). They gave me chips and when I asked about salsa with them, they said that it was extra. Again the other close by locations, it has always came with the chips. During the time, my tea was never refilled nor was I even asked if I needed anything. The other tables (including some that came in after me) were well taken care of by their servers. The lady at the bar was the one in charge of my table by what it seemed since she's the one that took my order.
Come checkout time and I inquired about the military discount (again other locations have one) and was told they don't have one. To my understanding the new one that opened up in Adairsville are owned by the same people, so I don't have high hopes about it either if this is a...
Read moreWish I could give it ZERO stars. I honestly can't think of anything nice to say, except our waitress had her hair fixed in two cute braids. Seriously, I really wished I wouldn't have wasted our date night here. We were there over two hours. None of the waitresses came over to our table for at least 15 minutes after we sat down, had to wait another 5 mins on the menus. That should have been our cue. But it was our first time so we decided to stay, big mistake. Appetizer came out in a decent amount of time. But our food took 50 minutes to get to us after receiving the appetizer. And was told "just a few more minutes" twice. That's unacceptable in my book. He got the boneless wings with fries, I got the fried pickle burger and potato salad (which sounded awesome but was very disappointing). My burger was supposed to be cooked to medium, it was well done. The fried pickles were soggy and the whole burger was cold. The potato salad was actually pretty good. My husband's wings were also cold, but his fries were hot. His sauces were ok, the teriyaki was too salty for my taste but he liked it. Our waitress never asked if our food was ok, and didn't seem to care if our experience was good, which is surprising because I told her it was our first time. She didn't seem like she even liked her job. Had to wait another 20 minutes on our check and luckily I had cash because I was not waiting another second. I will not be returning. And for anyone reading this I would suggest going at 11am. That's when they open. Maybe you'll have...
