Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Cartersville

This was my first time at a steak n shake. The patties are great, but the toppings are minimal. My main problem was with the service. The front door was disgusting. The mechanic in front of me used a work rag out of his pocket to open the door for both our parties. Granted, this was at the end of the day. The bathroom also needed a lot of attention, but the lobby was orderly.

The cashier was kind and offered combo options for how to get the things we wanted to try. Then, they made one sandwich out of my two, wrong. Then the order of the guy behind me had 2 sandwiches wrong. We passed each other repeatedly as we got the issues worked out. The staff were not pleasant about the errors, there's no telling if it was the cashier or kitchen that was the weak link.

I also got the seasonal pumpkin Oreo shake. It's okay, has that biting overly sweet syrup taste. I looked up the ingredients and it's primarily high fructose corn syrup (1st ingredient), there is a little bit of pumpkin puree in it (last ingredient). Damn near every sauce and topping are HFCS.

Was seated pretty fast, but had to wait 15 mins before the 1 waitress there to notice us .I lifted myself up from the Booth to see if there was something holding her up and it wasn't she just didnt see us being seated and no one told her she had a table with guest waiting. Then after we ordered the food was prepared wrong and both mine and my husbands wasn't right and the fries were cold. After we ate,we had to wait another 30 minutes before she came back to check on us and refill drinks and at that point I ordered a shake and then after waiting another 20 minutes to get my shake I once again pop up from my booth to see my shake sitting up there and my waitress had left and the new waitress never waited or checked on us at all. I get up to go pay and stood there while waiting to pay with the kitchen staff working and staring at me no one said a thing and no waitress in sight for 5 minutes at least and she then comes over and asked me how everything was,lol. I never leave reviews but this was ridiculous and poor customer service . There is no communication between...

I pulled up to the drive thru to place my order and sat there for at least a minute without being acknowledged. (I didn't mind waiting but at least say something) once I placed my order and pulled around to the window a young lady was at the window with a small cup. I jokingly asked if that was the size drink that I was getting, I expected a larger size. She looked at me and never said a word. She handed me the drink and cup of ice and followed with a tiny brown bag. Not even the size of a lunch bag..I asked for ketchup she just pushed the bag into my hand and shut the window. I looked at the bag for the steak and shake logo but there was none. I took a bite out of my burger and thought I'd bitten into the parchment paper. The was something about the bun that was paper like in texture. I looked again thinking something wasn't right. I was heading home to Tennessee from GA and was very hungry.
