This was, hands down, the worst location I've visited. The only person that knew what they were doing seemed to be the gentleman that appeared to be the manager (or acting manager). They didn't have enough queso to make 2 fritz burritos and fill our large queso bowl.... this is really not optional if you have menu items that require this ingredient. The queso was on the flat top heating up, but since we were there at 3pm, this really should have already been made. There was no ice in the drink machine, and they were out of basically all the cup lids, straws, etc. Most of the tables were not being wiped down as there was food visibly scattered across most of the tabletops. We had to wipe off our table, which I don't mind doing, but it's not like I had any type of cleaner on me. So it was a napkin wipe down, when the employees should have been sanitizing the tables. The manager was having to tell all the other employees what to do the entire time we were there and how to make every menu item, so it was basically the manager doing everything as if the other employees had never been trained. This is understandable if they are new (which it seemed like they all were), but you cannot let that affect your ability to serve your customers. The younger gentleman that was running the cash register was very courteous, but he was moving at about the pace of a snail. I've never seen someone fill a bag of chips so slowly in my life. We probably will not return to this location for a...
Read moreThe restaurant was clean, well lit, inviting atmosphere, and smelled great. The staff was super friendly, working quickly, firing jokes left and right to keep spirits up during a very busy lunch rush. Willy's only loses a star for the product itself. While the ingredients are obviously high-quality, the overall flavor is underwhelming compared to DosBros, Chipotle, and Moe's SW grill. The lime chicken was flavorful but the rice, beans, and toppings just tasted like bland ...rice... I even ordered extra serrano peppers and their hottest tomatillo, being warned it's spicy was a " 5 out of 5"....and while there was warmth, I felt no real tingle, much less spice. Now, I like for my eyes to water when I eat southwest fare and this may be too subjective. While I felt that the food was on the bland side in general, many Americans would likely prefer this brand to others because of the lower salt/spice content, so I would still recommend trying before defaulting to the nearby Moe's. You may find that you...
Read moreWow, what just happened? Normally Willy's is a go to for us, but as far as dining experiences goes, not only was this the worst Willy's visit for me, it is likely on the bottom ten of worst dining events. Ever. And I am over 50! The man who took my order was visibly angry and when I asked if his day was going alright, he just shrugged and stared at me. The rest of the staff mirrored his expression; they seemed miserable. I looked at the lettuce that was about to be a major part of my lunch, and it just laid there wilted and brownish. I ordered tofu, but about mid salad, I got a huge bite of beef. I watched one staffer picking out something from the sour cream and then tossing it, so it is likely that the unkempt preparation line gets mixed up often. I had a few other unrecognizable purplish things on my plate, too. I gave up soon after sitting down. I would definitely suggest that diners avoid this particular Willy's until they get past the 'We've just opened up,'...
