Called ahead to order my sister's favorite meal for pickup, was told 10 minutes. Ran an errand and then went to pick up the food. It had been 20 minutes since i called. Paid for it and was told it was coming right up. I watch a lady come pack up an order, then another order, and none of it looks like the food I ordered. A few minutes later, I see the cook throwing raw shrimp into a pan and I ask the cashier how much longer my food will be, since at this point I am worried it isn't even being cooked yet. Sure enough, the cashier turns to the cook and asks, the cook looks down at the pan and says "10 minutes." There was no admission of forgetting to prepare my order or being behind when they accepted my payment. They were just going to leave me standing there thinking it was coming. When I finally realized they had taken my payment for a pickup order that nobody had even started cooking, I told them to cancel the whole thing, since waiting on them would have made me late. When I canceled the order and left, it had been 30 minutes since they told me the order would be done in 10, and my food was still not ready. They could have at least been up front and honest with me, before taking money for an order they never...
Read moreAsian Garden delivers an experience that far exceeds expectations. This modest eatery offers freshly prepared dishes that are honest, deeply flavorful, and remarkably affordable. It is a place where quality meets simplicity in the best way.
The kitchen clearly operates with skill and care. Every bite of the beef and mushrooms lunch special spoke to high heat wok cooking, evident in the slightly smoky edges and vibrant textures. The beef was impressively tender, while the mushrooms carried an earthy richness that made them more than just a supporting act. A savory sauce brought everything together and lingered just enough to make the final bite feel like a tease for more.
Lunch also came with a comforting bowl of soup, light yet satisfying. At under eight dollars, the meal felt generous both in portion and in taste. Despite feeling full, I found myself thinking about the next visit before I even left the table.
Asian Garden is the kind of spot that reminds you how good simple food can be when cooked with intention. I will definitely return to explore more...
Read moreI'm up at 1am watching my son in severe pain. He is highly allergic to peanuts. For the second time, has has been exposed to peanuts from food at this restaurant. The first time it happened, I called and was told that the only item that had peanuts/peanut butter in it was the egg roll (except for items explicitly labeled as including peanuts). At the time, I had no idea that egg rolls could contain peanuts; it's not listed on their website.
Tonight, my son ordered beef lo mein. There is no mention of a possible allergen in this dish, and I don't understand how it could contain peanuts! My son had a lung transplant a little over a year ago, and this is the last thing he needs!
I ordered through DoorDash, so I also added a large notice asking the driver to verify that there were no peanuts in any of the food we ordered. Apparently, that didn't happen either.
If you have any food allergies, do not eat here!!!! They won't guarantee your safety or...
