Let me just say our server Wesley is a rock fish.. bone rock.. BONEFISH ROCKSTAR! yeah that what I'm trying to say!
Little kidding aside, he was great!
So, if you are reading review, you probably want to know about the food. Well... Let me say it this way...
Prior to eating here My feeling about seafood was, "It's ok" but not something i would usually seek out...Bonefish has single handedly changed that option! It was far and above the best seafood I have had. EVER!
I am only just home, from there while writing this, and still quite satisfactorily full. Yet find myself thinking about when next I plan to return.
Guys, I was sceptical going in. I did not have a reservation. And almost left because I was going to have to wait. (Only 5-ish minutes) But did I want to wait for seafood/fish?
I am SO glad that I did! Editing/adding to the above... I didn't talk about the food!
We both order entries off the seasonal menu. So I'm not going to talk about them specifically other than to reiterate what I did say above "they were delicious". They many choices between both menus, I don't want to obscure your decision by telling what entree chose. However, I will mention the sides we chose. The asparagus was the best prepared I've ever had eating out. That is saying something because asparagus is incredibly easy to ruin and over cook. (Believe me I've ruined plenty of it). We also had the crispy potatoes which were wonderfully seasoned, crispy, and (dare I say it again) delicious! Lastly I'll talk about the Coconut Pie. Apparently this was recently moved from their seasonal menu to the regular permanent menu. And for very good reason! It was lite and very coconut'y with a wonderful rum sauce. And now that I'm talking about it l'm craving some more! Finally, I want to explain the 4 star "atmosphere" rating. It was a Friday night, and the bar area, where we were standing, to wait for our table, was very busy and quite loud. Almost made us rethink our decision to wait. But after we were seated at our table it...
Read moreAwesome experience. Bonefish is well known for their dish called “Bang Bang Shrimp” and the appetizer did not disappoint. My husband had the blacken chicken egg rolls and enjoyed them very much. The menu itself was plentiful. You had options on top of options with a flare of creativity!! I loved the flexibility. For the entrees, my husband ordered the chimichurri bistro fillet with a side a mushroom risotto, kung pao brussels sprouts. I ordered chilean Seabass with chimichurri sauce, a side of broccoli and whipped mashed potatoes. My husband’s food was DELICIOUS. The kung pao Brussel sprouts was the favorite. I love roast brussels sprouts in general, but the Kung pow sauce elevated the brussels sprouts for me. The Seabass was cooked to perfection as well light, fluffy and tender. The chimichurri sauce was a perfect compliment to the sea bass. When we have a good meal, we always want dessert. We had their apple cider cheesecake and bourbon brownie. The cheesecake was delicious out of love for the apples to be sautéed versus raw because the garnishments that were like a cookie crust gave me the crunch that I needed so having them sautéed would’ve been better for me. For the bourbon brownie, warm and delicious would’ve been great if there was ice cream however they were out of ice cream.
Shout out to our waitress Allison who was amazing. She provided a great experience and made awesome recommendations. I will definitely request her when we visit next time. Another shout out to the manager Andrew he was very proactive on the dining room floor serving with a smile making sure everyone is having a good experience. The ambience was an overall vibe. From the time you came in, you can already see that there was guest, enjoying their meals. People being served, the AC temperature was comfortable, not overbearing. As the evening rolled in and the dining room activity picked up the romantic vibe settled in made it very intimate and cozy. My husband had the smoked bourbon and enjoyed both of them. I had the blueberry refresher which was...
Read moreI was visiting Raleigh for the week for business, and Bonefish Grill was my last dinner out. We had a reservation for 6, and they were able to accommodate us at the time we wanted.
We started with appetizers of Bang Bang Shrimp and Calamari. I could have easily made the shrimp as my meal. They were so good but not enough, I was left wanting more. Next was my meal of Filet Mignon and Sautéed Shrimp and Scallops. The filet was made to perfection and was tender and flavorful. The shrimp and scallops were just okay. Something I couldn't have ordered at any seafood restaurant. Inwas surprised at the size of the scallops, so very small, which made them tougher than I liked. I had the jasmine rice as one of my sides and the premium side of Brussel Sprouts. The sprouts were mouth-watering with a kick. I could make a meal out of those too, they were so delicious. The jasmine rice had been sitting for a bit, as I had some crunchy bites. Lastly, I enjoyed the cheesecake with Melba sauce. Not knowing what Melba sauce was, I Googled it, finding out it was raspberry sauce. I was disappointed in the sauce. I wanted raspberries with sauce, and I got a tiny bit of something slightly colored and clear through. It didn't taste like anything. The cheesecake was delicious though.
The service was fantastic, and we were never in want or need for anything, including beverage refills. I will come again when I visit next, but I will change up my...
