I feel the need to qualify my rating. I've rarely given out ratings of fewer than 5 stars to Chick-fil-A stores. The reason for that is that almost without exception the stores are bright, clean, and kept to a level of cleanliness that would almost lead you to feel that you could eat off the floor. Add to this that the food is excellent quality fast food and you have a recipe for success. So from a food, wait staff, and store upkeep, I most happily give this store 5 stars. The reason for this location getting 3 stars is fundamentally bad traffic flow "design". There are two entrances/exits, one is at the left when looking at the front of the store and is the most direct entrance from the highway. The second is at the back left of the parking lot and is accessed by going through a service road for the strip mall. To get to the drive-thru order board from the rear entrance requires circling the building once. To get to the order board using the side entrance at peak times requires going 2/3 around the store, then blocking anyone trying to exit the lot while you hope that someone who's entering using the rear entrance will allow you to join the line so you can spiral inward towards the order board. This is arrangement means that under the best possible circumstances you start your journey to the drive-thru one car lane outside of the pick up window and two car lengths forward. At the busiest times, you may start outside the parking lot. This scenario puts cars into a counter-clockwise circle with the destination being towards the middle of the circle. Once you have your food, you now need to exit the lot. Here is where the horrible layout of the site becomes most apparent. To make your escape you need cross a "T" of cars where you are the stem of the "T" and the top is made up of cars trying to get WHERE YOU ARE!! Because of this store's proximity to I-40 as well as being on a four lane highway with a number of businesses that are located along it, the rush periods make for very long lines (20+ at lunch/dinner rush). Add in horrid site planning (or complete lack thereof, the already described inward spiral of cars, the arrogance of the typical American who doesn't feel the need to yield to anyone at anytime, the absolute requirement for at least 5 individual points where yielding is essential, a smallish lot, mammoth SUVs (with one adult and one or two small children), etc. and so on and you end up with a nightmarish drive-thru situation. If you decide to just park and go in, you end up with other issues. The main ones are that 4 or 5 spaces can't be used during peak times because they face the store. To use these requires crossing the line waiting in the drive-thru, then backing out across that line as well as into the line of cars that entered at the side and are trying to either find a spot to park or are trying to get into the drive-thru line. My suggestion for eating here during peak times is to park and go in. If you must use the lot immediately around the store, use only the slots facing away from the store. Mind your kids here as well. While no parking lot is a place to let a toddler stumble along or a primary school child to play games with their brothers, sisters, and friends, this lot seems just especially dangerous due to the tight fits and sudden stops/starts of the drive-thru. Frankly, consider parking in the spots that are behind the store, down the hill, and on the outskirts of the strip mall. Most people could use the few extra steps and you save yourself from entering the lot of...
Read moreI went to this chic fa la recently I ordered two spicy deluxe both meals came with large fries, also I ordered two Mac and cheeses. They completely messed up both of my sandwiches, And even got my macaroni's wrong as well not to mention how I can clearly tell how old the macaronis were as if they sat on a cold shelf the entire day. Sandwich was soggy not to mention as well. When I got to the window and looked at my order I told them about it and the way they treated me was horrible as if I was doing something wrong. Customer service rate is definitely a 1-10 they still charged me for the orders they messed up and didn't even offer to remake my meals. So I was still charged for a messed up order. The girl with blonde hair completely had an attitude. I called complained about my order and was told to come back and that It would be taken care of so I went in of course the next day to get my meal and it was another disservice/ disappointment the manager had a veryyyyy bad attitude mind you MY ENTIRE ORDER WAS MESSED UP. So I expected for the entire meal I paid for including both sandwich meals with the large fries to be redone as well as my one large Mac and my medium Mac to be re done too why was I being charged to pay for meals they got wrong and didn't even make fresh to begin with. That is not customer service at all! I have never been to a chic fa la like this. Not to mention the operator of this location seems to not even care about customers having a good experience where they spend their hard earned money to eat at. Not once have I seen anyone who had a bad experience here get treated the way they should have been after. I want to speak with someone because this is a shame I spend 30$ for a whole messed up order. Just to still have to pay for it after? It was still horrible i can tell they made my sandwiches sloppy the second time and with an attitude just how sloppy i was scared to even eat it because i thought maybe someone spit in my food thats just how nasty the guy manager with glasses attitude was so rude still got charged as well. I just want the correct service and my meals to be made correctly! I've tried calling customer service and they can't do nothing about it because i believe it’s private owned but it's just sad that private owners let people like this run their...
Read moreI go to this restaurant almost every week; and I enjoy coming here sometimes, but this is literally the last straw for me:
1- Drive thru is an absolute joke here, especially when it's busy. With all the cones, how the drive thru is designed and the way how customers behave an accident is surely going to happen one of these days.
2- The food has definitely gone down in quality recently- the spicy deluxe sandwich for example, sometimes it's just plain soggy and the bun falls apart; the macaroni and cheese: I tried it for the first time yesterday and it was borderline bad. Couldn't even taste the cheese as much and it looked like it was microwaved. The chicken noodle soup is okay, however, the chicken pieces feel and taste weird. - and the fries...they get cold pretty fast, and they taste like cardboard sometimes once they get cold.
3- The staff is inconsistent: one day they are very good, the next day they are overwhelmed, slow and don't listen to instructions. I understand this is a busy location but regardless, I feel like for the drive thru especially, they can have more staff to handle all those cars and traffic than overwhelm the drive thru.
Overall, it's a decent location however, as I said earlier, consistency is what's killing this restaurant for me. The food is just okay, the drive thru is an abomination, the efficiency is average, like I don't know what to say. I'll still try and come here often, but to the franchise: I hope you take this...
