Me and my family have been loyal customers of this local pizza establishment for going on 6 years or more. Starting at their Wellington Park location and then the Harrison Square shop. We mostly order our pizza's for delivery.
In the past the customer service was very good. Very rarely did we ever have issues with our orders. If we did they would quickly resolved any problems. Over the last couple years things have seemed to have changed. The pizza is still very good... far and away better than the chains. Even if it seems like the quality has slipped a bit to me recently. The last couple of customer service issues where handled poorly. Their online ordering is almost always not working. Despite their recent email proclaiming all the issues had been fixed. I've even taken the time to personally email their "President of Operations" to express my dissatisfaction with the online ordering situation. Only to be met with the deafening sound of silence.
I feel like it's a shame to have to write this review. The pizza is really good. But, having an online ordering option that rarely (lately never) works, lacking communication, and declining customer service is disappointing.
UPDATE: Online ordering at their Harrison location is back. Their President of Operation did get back to me and made things better. It's hard to fault any business for not being perfect. But, it does seem that they're willing to accept their issues and try to make them better. The food is really good and they tend to...
Read moreA few years back I gave this place two stars; one for having its doors open and one for making something that resembled an edible pizza (for my kids, I wouldn't eat it). Things have definitely move upward over the last few years. While it's been baby steps they have done one fantastic thing, they have always moved up-not down. A year or so ago I move them up to three stars because the pizza seemed to have prepared with more care and attention to quality. But just recently I realize they have really put out some good pizzas on a consistent basis so I have moved them to four stars. But there is no way I can move them to five stars until they have a revamp of their menu and their ingredient list.
I'm not asking them to abandon who they are but I think it's time progress just a bit. Go from 42nd St. subway pizza to upper west side (or whatever borough you know) throw-down, lip-smacking, funk. For example, get rid of that terrible bbq sauce and get a balanced bbq sauce that has a nice tang, a little spice, and a sugar that is derived from a natural source.
As of 2018, you are now 4 stars in my book. Good Job for moving up.
-------- older reviews. ---------- The food quality and service has improved a bit in the last few months so I've had increase my rating. I hope...
Read moreMediocre pizza and lousy service.
I visited before heading to the airport after having not come in years. I don’t know if ownership has changed, but the pizza isn’t nearly as good as it used to be.
I ordered two slices with sausage, pepperoni and spinach. The spinach was raw and just slapped on top, the sausage was barely cooked and the crust was comically crunchy to the point of being burned.
Perhaps worse is the service. I was the only patron in the place when I walked in. The three guys behind the counter barely greeted me, took my order and didn’t even say thanks. As I waited for my food, I watched several others come in and be greeted like family members. When my food arrived the guy just said “your slices are ready”. No thank you or anything. When I left nobody even bothered to say anything, despite the place (again) being empty.
I don’t like making assumptions, but as a middle aged man of color I can’t help but notice how I was treated vs others. Perhaps the employees should check their biases. Combine this with lousy food and it’s a recipe that guarantees they’ll never get my...
