I have been going to RallyPoint since they first opened and have always had a pretty good experience. The food has always been extremely good! The wings are amazing and the burgers are quality! However today they blew me away! I do know this is not normal and I stress that you should not expect what happened to me to happen to you. It is not a service they provide.
Today I placed an online order thinking at the end it was going to give me the option for delivery, ordering directly on their website but once I hit submit I realized it was for pickup. I called immediately and a lady answered who promptly said no problem we will cancel the order. I said thank you and hung up. Then called back to confirm they would just reverse or credit my card back. A manager (I assume) got on the phone (please forgive me, I mistakenly did not get his name) and asked me where I lived. Fortunately I am between 5-8 minutes from there. He incredibly offered to bring it to me. Something I completely did not expect. He does not know me even though 1.5 years ago I hosted the Cary High 1989 class reunion there (130 people), have gathered many groups (at least 15 times) of people to meet there on many occasions (20 plus people), actually had our wedding get together (150 people) there when it was Newtons as well as my 10 year class reunion there. He had no hesitation to do something that was out of his way, not in his job description and to make an already satisfied customer decide to take the time to write a review. Understand, I rarely write reviews even as a small business owner myself because frankly, I think people can be so harsh and quick to criticize. (Note: using my sons account because I don't have one set up with Google) This impressed me beyond. Not only was it out of his way, but the food was perfect! Due to the warmth of the food, he had to have immediately left when the food was ready.
So to conclude this long winded positive review, I highly recommend RallyPoint as a great bar/restaurant to have excellent food, outdoor seating, game watching and good times! If you have an event (if we ever get back to normal) and are looking for casual and ease to arrange, this is the place to be! Not only is it indoor/outdoor seating, it is just off 440! No place is perfect however if you need to trust any review, you can trust mine. I think my many experiences there big and small speaks the truth to solid service, food and experience! Thank you Mr. Manager! Also a big fan of Jennifer, day bartender! She's a gem!...
Read moreThe first time my husband, his friend, and I visited Rally Point for a cornhole tournament, we though it was a nice place. We were wrong! My husband goes every week for the tournaments and the same waitresses NEVER ask neither him, his friend, nor I if we would like a menu, food, nor drink. However, we have eaten there but I had to either chase a waitress or walk to the bar, which is ridiculous because we are always seated at the outside tables. They NEVER acknowledge us. Even after the waitresses see us eating at our tables, they NEVER ask us if we need refills or anything. But they bounced their happy a$$e$ over to our table when they wanted to make sure we paid our check. To make matters worse, they service EVERYONE else around us, look straight into our eyes and walk the other way. Furthermore, one evening we sat with two other players in the tournament and the waitress came to the table and asked if they wanted to order something, took their order and walked away without saying a word to us!!! Bottom line, we go strictly for cornhole tournaments and have not spent a dime in this place since the second month we started going. My husband has been in the tournaments at Rally Point over a year. The waitresses suck and it's truly their loss because my husband is a wonderful tipper lol (whenever I go, its always the blonde girl with the wavy bob hairstyle). Rally Point will never get another dime of our money. If my hubby didn't love the league so much, we would never step foot in that back...
Read moreI'm not a review guy...rarely do I ever have to desire to share my thoughts in this manner. However, I now eat at RallyPoint about once a week. By far the best wings and boneless wings in town and I have been eating wings for more than 20 years at a variety of establishments in the Triangle. I mean who cuts up an entire chicken breast that is well over a pound and hand batters to perfection and covers with sauces and marinades made in house? RallyPoint!!! Try the Spicy Thai peanut....so awesome! I'm not kidding, best in town. The BBQ is also some of the best I've eaten. If that doesn't get you to visit, then try their build your own burger items. Anything you want on it at any temperature you prefer. Medium Rare please! These guys make everything from scratch and the amazing craft beer selection is always on rotation to compliment every menu item. They have many rare and hard to find beers on tap and for a home brew guy like myself, I'm pretty picky about my beer selection. This is definitely not your normal sports bar food or beer selection. Check them out for lunch. It is quick and you won't be sorry as the quality is top notch. Ask for Jennifer, outstanding bartender and server. Always remembers what I like to the point I don't even have to...
