I usually enjoy Cookout, if I did have an issue it wasn't anything major and was resolved promptly but tonight was my absolute worst experience ever and I can't even begin to explain how disgusted I am with that location and staff. I go there with a friend after we got done giving them praise and talking about how good the food is compared to other fast food establishments around the area. We got there, and ordered two separate orders, he ordered first then I ordered my my meal. The lady at the widow gave us the wrong amount due for the first order $5.90 which should have been $6.28 (less than what it should've been by 38 cents which is nothing because we would have happily have paid it) but when it came to my order she didn't had what I asked for. I gave her a $20 she gives me back $8 and some change and tells me still I owed $5.90 I explained that I just gave her money and she said that was for my extra honey mustard wrap and she said it was $1.62 and I still had to pay. I was confused but I gave her a $5 bill and a $1 bill and looking at my money I saw I was short ,so my friend pulled over to a parking space we looked at all the receipts and I took a screenshot of his transaction history and I took them up to the window. I try to explain to a manager that since I worked at fast food before I understand sometimes you can't hear people through the speaker box that mistakes and accidents happen, I wasn't mad but I was missing money. I showed him the screenshot, all the receipts and was calm trying to explain that I was missing money. The young lady comes up and tells me that she gave me a $10, $5, $3 and some change and I told her that I didn't receive a $10. She asked me for my phone #, which I gave and I think they might have done a drawer count or just checked the receipts and or just the cameras I'm not sure what they did exactly. I waited for approximately 5 to 7 minutes, by that time I called my friend up and asked did he see a $10 Bill where I was sitting and explaining the situation to him, I asked him to being my food around because at that point I was no longer hungry and and was becoming quite angry with the situation. I walked at from the front window to get my food out of the car I just wanted my money back I didn't care about anything else or credit, I get back to the front and the lady was holding a $10 bill and said that someone found it just laying down. I went through the drive so I didn't get out, multiple vehicles went through the same land as we did, I checked near the window where the money could have fallen and came up with nothing (3 minutes before someone found it) the ground is dark a wet and hard to see even with LED lights so you're telling me that someone found $10 dollars on the ground in a drive through lane and decided to turn it in. How do you see money on the ground that several other vehicles ran over, that I missed and the money be completely dry. I tried to give the lady my food and she asked what do you want me to do with it, I told her it was cold because of all the waited and her response was that's not my problem. I left biting my tounge with the food because I had a migraine and I need to eat...
Read moreMy first Cook Out experience and it did not disappoint! If you’re a first timer like me, be sure to look up the menu ahead of time because there are SO many options and combos. If I decided at the drive thru, I probably would have panicked and just ordered anything. Speaking of the drive thru, there are two lanes but the structure is weird because for one of them, the audio is on the passenger side. Makes me wonder how one would order if they were driving alone.
We each ordered a tray and I had the double cheeseburger with fries, chili, and a cheer wine (also my first time - reminds me of a cherry Dr. Pepper). Everything was up to typical fast food standard. The chili was pretty good especially when using it to dip fries. We ordered 4 trays in total for everybody and our order was correct. It’s fast and it’s cheap but definitely not something to be eating too often. Definitely a once in a while treat. I also didn’t feel TOO greasy after. I tried some of my husband’s strawberry shake and it was way too sweet for me.
FYI - This location does not have any seating (I’m not sure if others do) so we took it to a park nearby that had some...

I did not have the correct shoes. Non-slip. I needed a paycheck to be able to get those shoes due to life life and not having money just starting out. I'm 20 on my own. I have a dog and Gabe.
