As a regular customer... I am extremely frustrated. I hate to even leave one star.. Everytime I come here, and I am a regular customer... I ask for the Falfel Pita. They proceed to put the house salad in there and the Mediterranean slaw. But there is someone that makes it different each time, someone tried to put salsa on it one time. When I tell them that's not right. They look at me like they don't know their own menu. So today I went in and got my usual, my falfel Pita with fries. The guy at the register rung it up and said $9. 96 I said "thats not right" everytime I get it they charge me a diffrent price. So I kept my recipt which was in the car at the time. The guy had a shiny bald head with a beard and he said he was the manager at a different store. I said well some lady that claimed she was the manager last time told me it's 8.26 and he goes on to saying you got the spicy falael pita and I said "no I got the regular this is how they always made it. He goes and talks to me like a doormat. "Well next time tell them not to put that slaw in there and it wont add the extra 1.50 and I said I didnt know plus the regular falafel says it comes with the slaw!! They always made it like that and it was 8.26. I even asked if the prices had changed and he said no. After the conversation, some guy came up to me and said "that guy is a jerk the way he just talked to you, and hes been that way to me before. " the guys goes on to tell me "when I come in at night or when others come in close to closing, he rolls his eyes and is very rude. After I ate, I went to go talk to the guy to get this straight so I could order right the next time, and he called Matt whom was the manager at that point and time and we talked it out until, Chris (I believe that was his name) started getting loud with me.. This is a place that never has to see my face again.. I do want to thank Matt though because he did break down everything and he was more willing to talk in a lower tone voice. (GIVE...
Read moreI have been going to Jasmin & Olivz since it was just "Jasmin" and they only had their OG Hillsborough St. location across from NCSU an eon ago when I was in college (okay, it was only 16 years ago but still...). Seriously, went so often they knew my order back in the day. To this day, I still swear by them and will go out of my way to get food there, despite the numerous other Mediterranean options that have popped up across the triangle over the years. I truly don't think I've ever been disappointed with a meal from them, from their gyros to their falafel to their zakis and ALL of their sides. They have hands down the best tzatziki in the triangle (and quite frankly, of pretty much any other place I've tried even outside the triangle) and their hummus is consistently perfect from texture and thickness to flavor. Dip your pita in a little of their hot sauce before dipping it into the hummus, and it's even more divine. The grape leaves are perfect every time, their salads are delicious, I mean seriously, you just can't go wrong. So excited that I now work super close to the Cary location and can stop by during lunch, on the way home, or have it delivered to my office. It's going to become a problem for my wallet again (although their prices are also unbeatable for the quality so it could be worse!) Anyways, so glad this place has weathered the many storms that have hit the triangle food scene -- a true testament to the quality of their food and customer service. I hope they stick around for many more years to come, don't know what I'd do if they weren't...
Read moreI ordered online (they 'don't accept' call ins) and proceed to the restaurant for pickup. Arrived 30 minutes AFTER my card was charged and they tell me that it will be ANOTHER 45 mins. I'm the meantime, people walk in, order, get their food, and leave! When I enquire as to how this can be, the girl at the counter tells me that they put online orders into a queue and 'space them out'. Not sure why my $$ isn't as good as the person who walks in and orders (and leaves) all while I'm still 'waiting in queue'. I won't be coming back here anytime soon. Orders should be worked in the order they are received IMO. Their food is good, but not even close to being worth the wait. This is really a shame because I've had good food here over the years, but it's slowly gone downhill in terms of higher prices, smaller portions, and now this issue, which I'm considering the last straw.
Owner response below is correct. There was a time listed on the online order, however as I noted, multiple people arrived at the restaurant after I arrived and they walked to the counter, ordered, received food, and left. There is no rational reason that I should have to sit and wait while people who arrived AFTER I did are able to order, receive food, and leave with it. It's like I am somehow penalized for ordering and paying in advance by being forced to wait 2x...
