I've never experienced such rude and dismissive customer service. I will never return. Even after reserving the private room reservation for my birthday my entire party agreed that we were not happy and left. We enjoyed amazing customer service and food at Seol Grille which is just 5 minutes down the road. If I'd read the other reviews detailing Good Harvest's poor customer service and sanitation ratings then I would have known to avoid this restaurant. Thankfully all was not lost because we were able to quickly move our celebration to Seol Grille!
In January my daughter attended a birthday celebration in Good Harvest's private room and enjoyed the food. With my 50th birthday coming up my friend reserved the same private room for 2pm on Saturday. I arrived early for my celebration and asked to be escorted to our room. The man at the front literally refused to seat us and rudely talked with his back to us. Obviously he doesn't represent the entire restaurant, but the second man refused to acknowledge our private room reservation (made 3 weeks in advance) and tried to get us to sit at a regular table though the restaurant was not full. Eventually they did decide to seat us in the private room, but we were assigned a server who could neither speak nor understand English. This was not a matter of our server simply having a thick accent we literally could not communicate with each other. Outside of ordering two bottles of champagne we were not able to receive answers to our questions about the hot pot experience or menu; however, waitress wanted to rush us into ordering.
Though the bottles of champagne were immediately brought to the room, our server placed all the wine glasses at the.end of the table and poured the champagne but did not distribute the glasses to each of us.
We drank our champagne and moved our party to Seol Grill which was a thrilling experience compared to the horrible service that we endured at...
Read moreFood is great and I usually come here whenever in town but the behavior of the middle-aged female server was very appalling and out of line.
We had just landed from a flight at RDU and came here for lunch w/ my Husband and 2 yr old daughter.
My Daughter was a little fussy due to it being her lunch time and having endured a long day of travel so I tried to keep her entertained with cartoons on her iPad while waiting for the food.
Rather than trying to help make it a more comfortable and enjoying dining experience for my daughter, the server had the audacity to startle her with a loud slap on the back of the chair, verbally scold her, snatch her iPad away and hide it from her view. This caused my daughter to become even more upset and distressed than she already was and eventually scream.
When confronted about what she just did the server tried to excuse her own childish behavior and say that’s how Chinese people discipline kids. I told her that’s it’s not her place to try to “discipline” my child especially when when she did nothing wrong and she has no right to touch our things like that. What she was doing was straight up bullying and traumatizing my daughter. Of course she showed no remorse or need to apologize. She just huffed and puffed as she walked off and slammed her things on the other table.
The younger female server and older male server seemed to have been aware of what happened and tried to save the experience by being very sweet, warm and gentle towards my daughter. If it weren’t for them I’d give this...
Read moreAmazing night out with the fam and fresh all-you-can-eat hot pot. Kids 5-8 eat for $13 and kids under 5 are $5. Each adult is charged. $26.95. We enjoy Szechuan Hot Pot restaurant 10 minutes away but the wait is often an hour long on the weekend and they do not have the all-you-can-eat option. The staff here was so great at explaining everything. Simply choose one broth selection and then all the meat, veg, mushrooms & greens you can eat. (Any wasted food over 1lb will be billed on your ticket.) This restaurant also has 2 VIP rooms for some fun group karaoke. Rooms are sound proof so you do not have to worry about folks hearing your voice if you sing tone deadf ^. We loved the selection and the SAUCES....Secret is def in the sauce. Staff will gladly help you design a sweet or a spicy sauce. *NOTE: BE SURE TO INFORM THEM OF ANY PEANUT ALLERGIES. Will def re visit. The staff was non stop hustling and bustling to get people served so the wait time was like nothing. Bathrooms are super clean and gorgeous. Highly recommend getting the double hot pot for an extra 2.00. One side is spicy and the other was not. We chose lamb and beef for our meats but there are several options including shrimp and fish available. Definitely visit this place but make sure you have a...
