Yesterday we went after our prenatal appointment to this Firehouse subs. No one said hi or anything like that, but who cares? We're there for lunch and thats all well and good. I had the brisket beef sandwich. I violently wish I hadn't. I ate less than half of it. As I discovered, too late as it turned out, that it was wildly under cooked. Unrendered fat, wet and disgustingly covered in sauce and mayonnaise. I stopped eating it at these discoveries. We're not ones to complain, and I really thought I had caught it early enough that it wouldn't be a thing. We went on about our day. About two and a half hours later, I was now having side splitting sickness and everything I had consumed (plus the water I was furiously drinking) came back. And kept coming back all night and into today. I've had food poisoning before and it is close to the worst. As I type this out now, the thought of that sandwich... and I have to run to the bathroom again.
Sufficed to say, it was understaffed (or properly staffed but no one seemed to care), dangerously cooked, and when one goes to find a way in which to contact the franchisee on the website, one just gets the option to order, over and over. And absolutely, no thank you forever. Don't eat here. As the kids say, zero stars, do not recommend.
Edit I heard back from a Keith Bell who informed me "it's supposed to be that way"
So, enjoy your food poisoning good folk of Cary!
Seriously, what a trash response to, your food made me...
Read moreThe staff was very clean and sanitary. Me and my wife watched as an employee was taking the trash out with gloves on. His procedure was going to be our make or break on whether we ate there or not. Keep in mind this was our first time trying out Firehouse subs. He took the trash out removed and discarded his gloves. He then went inside and as we entered the building he was washing his hands. Before he served us at the register he asked could we give him a sec to put on new gloves. Just this gesture right here with COVID-19 being spread most people may not care but as a customer who does we were appreciative of their practice during this time. The entire staff wore mask and gloves and were very courteous and professional. The subs were delicious and freshly made. My wife and I will definitely be returning to a Firehouse Subs near where we stay simply based off of our experience here. You have gained another customer and thank you for a...
Read moreI ordered a 4" tuna and an 8" Firehouse Hero for delivery. Both sandwiches arrived in the bag. Neither of the sandwiches had a pickle with them (as stated on the site). I believe the pickles may have been taken out by the Grubhub driver (or his passenger - who actually brought the bag to my door) as the bag was not sealed and there were greasy finger all over the top of the bag.
The sandwiches were delicious and I will order them again but not through a delivery service. I am only rating this order 3 stars as I don't know if the pickles were not included or they were stolen by the driver/passenger.
I will update this review after I go to Firehouse in person and try...
